Hi all ,

At the very outset let me wish  you all a very happy and prosperous year ahead.

The card looks good and lets hope for the best.

My preferences and comments are as follows -

1.Adabella  OR Gallop to Glory

Horses with benefit of a run can be expected to do well. On that count Adabella is prime contender as it ran with better bunch compared to Grey Meteor.

GTG is ridden by Shezad Khan who has Won only 3 races this season when compared to retained stable jockey Kamlesh. However as horse has been tracked by him only , one has to give it a chance.

Adelino is well bred , preparation seems inadequate.

2. Hurricane Bird , Knight of Romance , Elusive Thought.

HB has seen better class in Pune . Has been given a couple of light runs after being shifted  to kolkata.With better saddle support and relatively modest opposition , should Win.

  

Knight of Romance , last run can be ignored as new apprentice could not jump promptly from gates.

Elusive Thought and Sreeyantra are contenders for place

3. Camacho , Abriella.

Though Abriella is better than the rest of the field , the handicap may affect its chances.

Recent tracks of Camocho are forward , a fair chance.

Razmaden managed to Win after innumerable attempts , field was relatively poor.

4. Head Hunter , Snowscape , Glutues Maximus.

Snowscape is seen in handicap race for 1 st time after participating in Terms & graded races.

Head Hunter is here after Winning a couple of handicap races in class III and II.

Snowscape is expected to start as On Money Favorite on the basis of its 3 rd to Malpensa.

Place odds on H.H may be higher than Win odds on SS. If Alford decides to take it easy . Sandesh can pull it off. 

5.Rembrandt , Smokey Baba  . Impressive Queen / Al Di La.

As western India imports are considered to be a class superior , the race should be Won by any of the first 2 named horses.

Rembrandt , a reject from Pesi Stables , running first time here . Tracks are decent. Can

make a Winning debut at kolkata.

Smokey Baba was a close 3 rd to Abubble , but no tracks since previous run ??

Impressive Queen , lived up to its name in race 78. Outer draw may affect its chances for Win. Can hope to place.

Al Di La has better credentials than Ace of Base for Place.

6. Ximena ,  Isle of Capri , Bernardino..

Ximena was not given the best of rides in race 102. Change of jockey and relatively modest field can ensure a Win for this well bred filly.

Isle of Capri , having finished 4 th to Ximena in race 52 is the only worthwhile challenger.

Bernardino and Fankaar are contenders for minor placings.

7. The most interesting and competitive race of the day.  4 impressive debutant Winners vying for supremacy.

First 3 horses have Won by widening margins and hence one of them should Win.

Captain Courageous was slowly off , yet came with a flourish and blew away the field. Hence I would give it 1^st  preference.

Gentle Knowledge on debut beat Broken Arrow ( earlier outing Winner ) by 7 lenghts. That is a remarkable feat which cant be ignored. 2^nd preference.

Andreus , beat nothing of note though the margin of victory was 8.5 lenghts.Looking the best on tracks .

8. Sreedhan , Destiny , Abubble.

Abubble , distance seems sharp , handicap is stiff.

Destiny -  failed favorite , horse is good , jockey did not do justice .

Secret Service could not quite make it at western India. Has seen far superior horses since debut. Winner of mock race , tracks are decent. Change in environment may bring in the desired result.

Burst of Stardust may at best place.

9. Royal Honour , Signor Sassi , Miss Watermelon.

Local horses in the fray may not be able to match strides with Rejects from Mumbai. 

RH had a run recently and that may help it to some extent . SS is a reject from Champion';s stables. 

Miss WaterMelon the Upset if any .  

Irish Connection is the best of the local lot and can hope to place.

mumbai - sunday races

Hi all ,

A well framed competitive and healthy card. My preferences and analyis are as follows –

1.Domain Anna , Herculean , Let it Fly.

Rio Del Ray , trainer must be content with Win in earlier outing. Rider is not very competent to consider a Win bet .

Domain Anna ‘s last run has to be ignored  , rider was not the best. Should place , can WIN.

Herculean , recent tracks are encouraging. Had placed once in superior company in Pune. 

Brut Rose and Let it Fly are contenders for place. 

2. Neath , Limitless Hills.

Incognito is more of a 1400 horse , may not sustain the long mumbai strech.

Invictus is a known bleeder. Last run was a disaster.

Leaving us with Neath and Limitless Hills. Though the latter is well placed , jockey skills points towards the former.

3.Casesar’s Star, Rodeo.

Mountain Force is better placed against C.Star , staying capability and younger legs may enable CS to finish ahead again.

Monet was impressive while clearing maiden ranks recently but field was modest. Hence a repeat looks unlikely.

4. Avoidable race.

Wolfgang , Asahi , Castle Troy.

Amongst the younger horses , above 3 appeal , 2 of them are making debut and considering the big field and consequent traffic issues , it may not be advisable to bet on FIRST TIMERS.

Crowned Princess and Mcqueen are experienced enough to make an impression , though meeting younger opposition.

5. Turf Lighting , Mountain Regiment.

Elena is speedy , has an impressive record. 5 consequent Wins is no mean achievement. Having regard to the quality of the rider and handicap , not sure if the right decision has been made.

Turf Lightning did see a better field recently. The poor riding skills led to disqualification. Has the weights in favour , can emerge victorious.

Ishpingo and M.Regiment are the challengers. The former is seen in class I for the first time. Has clocked very impressive timings in previous outing. The latter has the rider for the occasion.

6. ( Ancient Warrior , Senora Bella ) Head of State.

Though AW finished 3^rd to SB , it was seen moving impressively towards the closing stages. Can reverse the verdict if rider does justice to its impeccable bloodlines.

Senora Bella was not unduly extended while winning on debut. Can repeat.

Brindaban and Zoravar beat nothing of note in pune and hence ignored.

Scenic Warrior has a fair chance to place.

7. ( Eclipsed or Amitayus ) Arusha , Romalia .

Eclipsed was a good 2 nd to Barringo. That places it ahead of Arusha on relative merit.

Amitayus has failed to perform after its stint in blr.  One can only hope that change in rider may change fortunes ??

Romalia is well bred , last run was short for comfort.

8. Feature event of the day.

Native Knight , Star Marquess , Capriole and Bling , one of them could at best place.

Macchupicchu , Onassis , Smashing , Star of Gibralor & Astapi appear to be contenders for the Top Spot. With 3 entries from P.Shroff , its anybody’s guess on who will land the spoils.

Macchupicchu is conceding weight , is one paced , does well only if front runners tire out . Hence not an option here.

Smashing is back after a set back , ODDS offered when it ran recently , was reflective of the reality. Not much work seen since then. Hence a ?? on fitness

Onassis has the best credentials by default among the 3 and should place. May Win.

Astapi , failed at Pune as it was seeing genuine class for First time. All earlier wins were against pretty ordinary horses.  Prepared well , can do well , jockey Willing.

Star of Gibraltor – was in the front bunch in R.Royals race , was expecting RR to tire down. May do well over extended distance , though short of class has FORM to go by.

9. Bucharest , Ice Skates , Coquette.

Limited options , race is confined to the 3 year old’s

saturday - blr races

 Hi  all ,

Analysis of race card is as follows , have shortlisted the best in each race.Personal preferences will depend on REAL TIME odds.

1.  The usual class IV race where race time pointers would be more useful. The contenders being - Brigade’s Supreme , Rise to Glory . MidTown Delight and Trillion Win. 

B.Supreme – The club might not allow one more Frenemee to happen ( dubious change of jockeys at last minute ) Though Jockey does not inspire confidence , one can take a e/w chance as tracks are quite decent .

Rise to Glory is yet to taste success for whatever reasons. Difficult to assess its chances when pitted against Winners .

Mid Town Delight – impressive Winner , though in lower class. Has credentials to place , a Win would be out of place.

Trillion Win – Is usually seen doing well when fresh . This being first run at low weights . Jockey is yet to Win a single race despite being in action for 4 seasons.

Bourbon Rock – had placed once since debut , when Place odds was 15 to 1. May not be easy , considering poor record of stable.

2. If Sans Frontiers falters , race is wide open. In its previous outing , rider did not do justice . Trainer Padmanabhan  had a Great double the earlier day and proceeded to  kolkata .Decision making was easy.  Win is neither a certainty nor formality to be completed .

Haute Ecole – Long layoff , hence not here .Past record is absolutely pathetic , has not liked up to initial hype on its pedigree.

Attractive Bay – was seen in race 78 , not far off from SF.  Having raced together one has to give a chance for place / upset.

Immaculate – a delayed debut , lot of Place betting seen in race 72. Having regard to work jockey who was seen there , it was a fair effort. Looks certain for place here.

Sareeta – was languishing at the wrong end of the field till the last 400 metres. Covered enormous ground and made a determined bid , did not succeed. When the favorite was backed to exclusion of all runners , result was  a foregone conclusion. Has better saddle support here but with no preparation , may at best place.

3.Race for 2 year old’s.

All Proof – well bred , can create an impression on debut.

Cheval D’or – lost as 65/100 favorite to stable mate. Improvement seen in tracks. A fair chance.

Fancy Number – Doosra ??

Murioi – the best tracks seen for a MAM horse. Trainer opting for Positive equipment and Sreekanth indicates , preparation is GOOD.

Perfect Soul – no rhyme or reason to start as On Money Favorite.

Beauty is Truth – placed on debut , can repeat its performance , cant expect it to Win .

4.The classic Vb race with 14 participants,

See you Later – name is apt , hope punters get the HINT.

Lankan Pearl – looking fit , a fair chance to place.

Shivalik Beauty – though well bred , lack of performance till date only means it is a Repair case .

April babe – a gamble failed in race 62. Belated bid by jockey led to defeat. Over extended distance may succeed. Trainer is back after suspension , equipment still remains “ S “

Presidents Rule – There was some inspired betting in race 47 . But with worst jockey in saddle , the result was not entirely unexpected.  Drawn 14 , yet one cant ignore as its well bred and faces modest field.

5. Div 1 of the Horanadu Plate – class IV race.

Raaga – consistent this season , should place. Not sure if it can Win.

Gift of Love – but for the jockey would have been a good bet. In any case considering poor field , horse has to place. Can upset.

Aspect of Love – odds dramatically increased in race 28 and horse ended in the rucks. Recent tracks are good. Jockey may be to fetch Higher odds.

Bounty Hunter – distance looks sharp for comfort.

Superior Edge – trainer’s record is very poor.

6. An open race in class III.

Bessie – filly was not tracked in between race 49 ( 24/11 )  and 83 ( 15/12 ) Trainer had a GRAND double on 14/12. Bessie was not seen in usual elements. A known front runner , horse was seen rear group in race 83 , jockey made feeble attempts in final stages to indicate he was trying his best. Recent tracks indicate positive intent. Handicap is stiff .

Dancing Emeralds – withdrawn in race 83. The Trainer Neil Darashah having a gala time , his favorites are not sighted for place also. That being the case , one can only expect D.E to place.

Hill Stone – not very far away from Violent Storm in race 85. Looks moral for place. Any further progress depends on jockey capability.

Royal Spirit – last run was a disaster, not sure what happened. A performer over 1400 , hence not here.

Magnomical – looking extremely fit , has been kept off the shelves for a long time. Has  a bright chance to Win this race. The threat being Bessie.

7. Feature event of the day –

A.Gallop , Atlas Power , Veyron , Drop of Honey are not expected to do well.

Panamera – known bleeder , first time over this distance. Surely not going to be easy.

Lad Star – atrocious ride in race 86 despite huge handicap advantage . Meeting younger horses , yet has capability to strike.

Own Asset – barely managed to beat Saganaki in race 75. Earlier to this finished behind Mr Carpe and Veyron in race 51 , both horses are better placed here. However the jockey seems to have improved a lot since then and can reverse the verdict.

Raphire – trainer for once has opted to Graded race Winner jockey. Was content using class Vb riders for a long time.  Not very confident of its staying capability over this distance. Good luck.

Mr Carpe – Aussie Rules sired horses have the tendency to warm up late. Hence longer the better but choice of rider is a ??  On earlier occasions horse was seen drifting to outer tracks.

Veyron – one gamble per Year is all that Saad A Khan needs. That has been achieved this season. 

8. With a host of long pending horses in the fray , difficult to pick the best amongst them. It may pay to follow horses which have Won this season.

Fantastic Strike – outer drawn top handicap ,win is doubtful.

Another Voice – rider has Won on this horse in previous year. Last run may seen forward but field was very inferior.  

Frenemee – if previous run is basis for decision making , this horse cant be ignored. Rider Rajesh babu has not Won for ages in Blr . The Odds are for his caliber , not the capability of Horse.

Serengetti – was least interested in the proceedings in race 78.  Should place going by choice of PSC.

Shades of Scarlet & War Artist – contenders for place.

9 . Class III race , a come back for erstwhile Champion trainer ??

Living Legend and Six Shooter are 2 entries from S.K. Jockey merit points towards the latter. The tracks may also suit this offspring of Burden of Proof.

Bebo – surprise Winner in race 74 as there was too little track works. Was seen predominant in the pool. Can repeat.

Abbys Baby – 5 th top Violent Storm , a class IV Winner , seen here on promotion. Rider has not been active in other centers. May place.

Super Gold – has the weights in favour. If Raphire does not do well as expected , one can look for a inspired performance from SG.

Friday - Kolkata races

A look at previous race day results , show that UPSETS were the norm.Having regard to the race card framed for Friday & looking at jockey engagements , one can be assured that Top 3 favorites would Win in almost all races . There may not be any Long Priced Winners.

1. Roman Centurion , Abarth .

If RC jumps out well from the gates , Win would be a formality .

Abarth , is visiting Kolkata to earn some stake money as it wont be able to Win or even place at Blr .

2. Astaire , Moonlit Sky .

Race for 2 year old’s over 1400 ,  those who are bred to stay may do well.

3. Don Magnifico , Apyrous , Tough One

Even die hard punters based in Kolkata wont be able to relate to MOST jockeys who are seen in action.

4. Ximena , I Command , Song Writer

Ximena was very impressive while winning recently .Though meeting a superior bunch , can Win again . Jockey was asked to shift from Mumbai to Kolkata for not letting horses run on merit.  He has in recent past done it here also , one can only hope for best.

Song Writer though conceding weight should place as Horses rated below 30 have no credentials to place.

5.Charlemagne , Amika , Calyspo Girl.

Race restricted to 3 year old’s in the fray.  The first named looks set to Win.

Moon Star has seen better class than the rest of the field. Handicap is stiff , can place.

Amika , is a import from western India , has to get USED to tracks

Ever consistent C.Girl will place.

6.Abroath , Dear Henry.

As has been observed earlier , horses from Other centers are 2 class superior to local horses. Dear Henry is facing AGED horses in same class. Technically nothing to beat. However this being first run in koltata , after several dismal performances in western India , a Win is not a Formality.

Abroath and Arktourus are both capable of doing well, preference to the former due to age and handicap factor.

7. River Pride , Chalaque , Hurricane Star.

Horses 4.5.6.7.8.9 don’t possess Winning form.  Hence ignored.

Amongst the rest River Pride is vastly experienced. Made to run often , which could have a bearing on its performance. On merit a fair chance to Win.

8.Social Network , Follow the Dream , Silver Sands

If C Alford has Won earlier , one can take a chance on SN . If he has failed as is often the case , better to forget SN and look for other options.

Follow the Dreams and Silver Sands are good enough to place. The former can Win purely due to better saddle support

Short Selections for the day are -

Mysore - wednesday races

Hi all , 

options for the day are -

  

1.Duma , Pepper King , Black Dragon.

Duma was an impressive Winner. Has credentials to repeat despite conceding weight. However if odds are below EVENS not worth considering a wager.

Pepper King is showing out in tracks , rest depends on the quality of the ride offered by J.Chinoy.

If any of these 2 are found lacking  in efforts , Black Dragon may place.

2. Iron Marshall , Absolute Reality.

Rising Rainbow may find the distance sharp , the top handicap will affect its chances.

Gazaki was a Winner in previous outing. Is seen conceding weight to the younger and fit Iron Marshall .

Absolute Reality is a known front runner , well placed after many listless runs in superior company.The upset if any .

3.Land of Gold , Arc Angel , Southern Pearl.

Class VB race , hope to see 2 of these horses finishing on board.

4. ( Always Inspiring , Sand Dune ) Sun Device.

Alabama needs strong saddle support , seen lacking here.

Jazzbytheway – statistsics of horse reveals performance when entrusted to junk jockeys like Vinod Shinde.

Sand Dune – tracks are decent , should place. Can Win.

Always Inspiring – a known front runner ,  the handicaps are very attractive. Though on promotion can create a flutter.

Visual Element and Sun Device are contenders for place.

5. Lad Lady , Always on Top , Formidable.

Money Bay Won its first race in September in class IV.  Has reached peak rating , meeting a qualitative class II field here. May at best place.

Lad Lady – lost form completely after a stint in Blr . Meeting a relatively inferior bunch , should place , can Win.

Formidable can do better than its previous effort due to a better jockey .

3 entries from Rakesh for what ever reasons. Thriller may place if intent is visible.

6. Rubellite , What A Warrior , Spandau Bullet.

Difficult race , first 6 horses cant be backed due to handicap / distance / age.

If jockeys on Rubellite and What A Warrior show some competence , there is a fair chance to oblige.

SB – bet is for jockey declared to ride.

7. ( Infatuation , Lotus Pond )  Legal Knight / Brave Assault.

Legal Knight has the weights to consider.If Trainer has completed a double earlier , best to Skip.

Tusker is class IV Winner , no idea why punters fancied it in class II last time. Looks difficult for place here.

Lotus Pond –  looks the best in the field. Should be certain for place. Can Win.

Infatuation is also a class IV winner. Only reason to consider is the pull in weights.

8. Aerial Acrobat, Flirting King , Sauce Piquant.

A close call between the first 2 horses. The younger AA gets first preference.

Ace High cant be relied upon as last run was pathetic. Amiable Lady did well last week , contenders were few. With many speedier horses here , may not sustain over 1200.

9. Zamindar , Peppr  , Secret Girl.

Class Vb race .  Count Royal and Chantilly Jewel if fancied may deceive.

monday - malakpet

Hi all ,

A day in which many fancied runners should oblige . PS Chouhan and Suraj Narredu are seen on many fancied horses. They should be in the limelight along with Trainer Prasad Raju.

1.Dandelion , Fenway Court , Spirited.

Dandelion , a failed favorite in race 43 looks set to WiN as opposition is pretty backward. Could be shortest priced favorite during the day.

Fenway Court is tracking well , dam was bred for speed. Should place.

Lavish Gift and Spirited may fight for minor placings.

2.Fastest Finger , Fearless Moments

On breeding , former looks far superior.

3.Power Drive , City of Dreams , Fairy Boy.

Though Power Drive finished behind Promotion in race 78, relative jockey merit points towards the former.

Fairy Boy , did well on debut , can repeat its performance and place.

Debutant City of Dreams is tracking well , gets a chance to place.

4.Maid for Love , Lady Luck  , Great Guns.

Race for horses in lowest class.  Younger horses have not shown any sparkle .

Maid for Love does have a good chance to place. May upset.

Lady Luck is best on tracks , should place.

Great Guns is best bred , may pip Smart Striker for place. 

5.Big Boss , Wedding Gift  , Specilist

Over 1200 , Snow Bird would have been unbeatable in this set. However as staying capability is in doubt , one has to look for other options

Big Boss – has the handicap and rider for the occasion. Last run was over 1800 , over shorter trip can land the spoils.

Wedding Gift , has been consistent in last 4 starts.Should easily place..

6.Montplier , Handsome Hunk , Elegant Approach.

Montplier was unfortunately disqualified in race 109. Having regard to its form , difficult to go against it.

Handsome Hunk looks certain for place as many runners are from lower class.

Dusty Lady has changed names and stables. Rider is quite poor and hence may not be able to place also.

7. Yours Truly , Commanche Gold , Part Time Lover.

As CG is a maiden preference is given to experienced Yours Truly.Ashleen Slate has come down in a lot in rating . A known front runner , not sure of its fitness levels. At this handicap considering lack of form , may be difficult to Win. 

Part Time Lover has credentials to place.

8.Fortunate , Golden Dash , Sarvagnya.

Maharadhi is plain unlucky to remain winless after so many attempts over various distances. As it seems over raced best to ignore here.

Sarvagnya is seen after a long break. Lots of track work indicating intent. Should place.

Golden Dash has been consistent. Should place easily.

9.True Scholar , Attenborough , Fine racer.

Desert Bloom is seeing genuine competition for first time has been winning in lower class. Looks difficult for place too.

True Scholar , after many dismal runs with negative equipment , looks set to return to Winning ways. Place looks certain.

Attenborough and Best Pal are in with a chance to place. As jockey Sreekanth has not been able to show his competence in Malakpet , opting for previous outing Winner.

Fine Racer – failed favorite , may at best place.

2000 Guineas race day

hi all ,

the 2nd classic of the season -

In a large field like this , it does help if some sort of sorting takes place .

Contenders – I am hoping Winner is from this list -

An Acquired Taste – Yes 2 consequetive losses has to be explained. Did receive a check in Pune Derby. Last run was pretty poor , may have been rusty as it was FIRST run at Mumbai. It was conceding 9 kgs to Sumo which made a difference to the outcome. Recent trackwork is very good and with S.John in the saddle one can expect a decent ride.

Bizarro – Lost when fancied in Poonawala Multi Million . On expected lines as the stable functions that way. Rider did not show any enthusiasm when pitted against Silver Birch . Can place , rider merit can help it’s progress.

Hachiko – the PBM winner in 2012 . Bangalore runs were quite pathetic , however came back strongly beating Neona in a class II race. I feel it may be difficult to Win considering the Mile trip . Can place.

Montezuma – a late debutant , beat nothing of note in both starts. On breeding it is as good as any other. The mile trip is an ideal trip to display its talent. If ridden well , can upset.

Sumo – Any horse clocking 1.35.74 over a mile has to have some merit even if it was running at low weights.Having Won 3/6 starts , one cant ignore its chances. Hope the rider is upto the task.

Pretenders – In my opinion , Place hopefuls.

Franklin – just one run beat Ice Cool which could not clear maiden ranks subsequently.

Commander – Pune derby winner , first run at mumbai this season. Does like to be with the front bunch , the Mumbai straight is not known to be kind to these horses.Late finishers will clearly have an edge.

Machiavellianism – once winning pattern is blunted at home centre, difficult to regain lost ground.

Shivalik Hero – Won the Rajendraingh Million in great style ?? beating Winston and Pheonix Force , class IV horses. As Blue Ace is in No Hopers category obviously SH does not have any chance to Win. Though the horse showed improvement after being gelded , the fact a non entity by name Liam Jones is entrusted with the task makes it easier to Ignore.

No offense to anyone - the NoHopers -

It would be fair to conclude that this Bunch is not expected to trouble the Judge’s at the busy end.

Amazing Desire , Ascot Magic , Blue Ace , Hemisphere , Ice Pick , Ice Zone , Macedonian , Manyatta Silver Birch.

Only Silver Birch has been better days in bangalore , too many entries from Shroff in this feature  event . Others are not in classic league.

Comments and Choices for the rest of the races are -

1.Be Cool ,Victorious Cause, Nanina.

BE Cool is definitely superior , but a Win bet is best ignored due to ODDS and VB factor.

Nanina received interference in last outing but for which it could have finished in place money.

VC – as everyone is aware , Trainer is expecting some gifts on festive occasion. Whether fellow trainers help him in the cause OR he collects from Bookies will be known by race time. Horse did well in previous outing. 

2.Bonobo , Danse Debonaire.

another classic VB race with limited runners .

RB was helped to a large extent by the pull in weights in Pune, Winning over 2k distance at this weight is not an easy task even if others don’t inspire confidence.

But for Money for Nothing , rest 3 are all capable of doing well.

3.Mountain Warrior , Divine Inspiraton, Soli Del Gloria.

Though categorized as class IV , one look at runners makes it clear that it is as good as class VB.

IL Moran was not ridden on merit in race 37 as fancied horse was Act of War. Unfortunate for them latter lost. No certainty here .

Soli Del Gloria was entrusted to junk jockey in race 40. Has credentials to place.

Divine Inspiration was asked to do too much too much in second outing , over 2000 metres. Not many horses could have Won over the distance despite merit. Now going over shorter trip can oblige.

Mountain Warrior – vastly experienced , a very genuine class IV horse. Should place , could upset.

4.Red Baron or Angel Crown.

Lake Paradise is not comparable to the horses which participated in race 13 . A steep jump in class , short resting period , extended distance , surely a younger horse can beat Clinton.

Between Red BARON and Angel Crown , latter may do better being an enquiry case. 

I expect Clinton to fund the bookies.

5.Relic Hunter , Barringo.

Centre Stage is one of the rare horses from Pesi’s stables which is not often sighted in tracks. 1 Solitary victory over 1200 at Blr , is all that is there is to display .

On breeding Relic Hunter and Barringo are superior.Though not seen in graded races , they are experienced enough to tackle Centre Stage.

6.Star of Peace , Veena’s Pet , Phelps.

Youngsters , I feel 2 of these 3 could finish on board. 

I may be wrong as Amistad , Rekindle and Trance are also seen doing well on tracks.

7.Follow Me , Bongani , Hidden Goodness.

Looks to be the first open race of the day .

Seven Seas did not show any promise in Pune , Owner’s prefer to be in limelight in BIG city. Cant win here as handicap is stiff and distance sharp.

Bongani is a known front runner can place as Master of the Sky is fancied for Win due to relative handicap.

Hidden Goodness – pune runs were dismal for whatever reasons. Has seen better class in previous mumbai season.If odds are positive worth taking a chance as horse is known to be speedy.

Intequam – may need a run to strip fitter.

Follow Me – Looks better placed o handicap compared to race 47. Should easily place.

Reckless Romeo – Lost to Unknown Rebel , when it meet inferior field .Can at best finish 3 rd here as there are several contenders for Win.

Mahima – IF RR is fancied , so can Mahima considering Unknown Rebel link. However I don’t give it a chance.

9.Blessed , Prince , Stella.

The first named was seen finishing on well , after a poor start. Should be the horse to Beat as rider’s handling was very poor.

Wind Mill Lady – may find the trip a bit short for comfort.

Prince – was seen in front bunch in race 33.relatively modest field here. Can place.

Riding on the Storm – even place looks doubtful.

10.( Shadows of Time , New World )Winston

Winston struggled to beat Scarletti in pune. The latter despite best efforts is unable to Win even at Kolkata. If it is sold , the new owner can try his luck at Delhi.Next race of Winston can be forgotten as it was 4 horse field , what matters is not the Winner. The horse which finished behind is to be seen. On that count and considering the weight it is conceding , Winston may not be the Ideal BET.

New World and Shadows of Time are competent enough to Win and race time trends should help deciding. New World has better rider , Shadows of Time is a Winner , though in lower class.
