My Choice - upset possibility.

2. Aerofoil - if Fit can do well. Highest rated in maidens field.

Univision - long shot place prospect. Look for Rider Change.

Arc of History - looks tough on merit but if other horses are overweight ..jockey merit may help its cause.

Platinum Clazz - has run benefit unlike others..that may help to place..

3. Race is between Desert Moon and Free Eagle.

Plain Jane may occupy other spot.

4. Amazing Venus - start to finish specialist. Should Win hopefully..

King David. Ragas Ajalias. Royal Dynamite are contenders for Place.

5. Cash for Rank - has enough initial speed to repeat again.

Romantic Fire has come down a lot..intent seen..can Place.

Blaze of Glory - top handicap..shorter trip. No chance for Win.

Sefarira - has done well this season. Facing superior horses. Could at best place.

5. Eternal Angel - beat nothing of note in previous outing. Faces tough bunch here.

Prince Caspian - best on pedigree..rest depends on fitness..look for horse weight.

Ashwa Bahula and AAA are both good enough for Place.

7. Junk race.

Bouncer is speedy. Fair chance.

Wonder Star - better rider declared. Only probable challenger to Bouncer.

Pegagus and Beauty Flash - place hopefuls.

8. Kimono vs Green Image - one of them should Win..

Astra can only Place.

Long card of 10 events... Can't do justice for whatever reasons. Reasonably confident that most of the horses shortlist will do well..merit the criteria. Rest upto the Odds at race time..

Usually avoid suggesting TP horses in blog due to his dubious rides ..as seen in pune..fair chance for his horses tomorrow...each way if Odds permit.

Sandesh too has disappointed this season..can come good in 2 races..

Hyd Saturday races

These are my picks..

1. Halo's Princess. San Vinto .

Race for maidens. Those running with negative equipment are ignored for obvious reasons.

Anupam Sharma does have couple of entries. Most of his wards are +15 kgs overweight..some even 35kgs+. Past master of deception who makes horses run every week ..strike after people give up after seeing poor performance.

Dance Oh Dance is well bred but rider is horrible.

San Vinto had a run recently..hence looks certain for Place. Can Win if rider shows some competence.

H.P... Tracks are forward. Rider best suited at malakpet. Rest depends on horse weight and odds.

2. Deans Gal. Good Strike.

Another maidens race.

Rapidemente failed to deliver on debut. Facing modest bunch here
Purely on saddle support and preparation can hope to do well ....as most riders are backward in hyd.....unable to position horse in early stages ..going wide at bend etc..

Golden Hope should Place. Odd may be low for comfort..

My picks are more on hope .. Basically for Odds.

3. Vijays Delight. Old Faithful.

Last run of Pentesilia was very good. But trainer is not very reliable ..horses are rarely consistent. As a fancied runner..no value in a win bet.

V D was third in same race..has seen better days. Atleadt on breeding looks better than favorite.

Old Faithful and Take A Bow are in with a chance for minor placings.

4. Bharat Queen. MirField.

Limited options.

Sweet March is running after long break. Ashwa Ashoka may need longer distance.
Scooby Dooby Do ..place looks good.

Trainer Laxman is suspended..stop gap Srinivas is not competent to train good horses..only repair cases are handled by him. With SS Tanwar declared..not sure of intent.

B.Queen..handicap is favourable.

5. City Of Wonders. Commanding Boy.

Ashwa Raftar was 30+ kgs last time..rogue trainer making unfit horses race. How clubs allow these to happen is to be probed.

Morning Miracle ..most inconsistent horse in hyd. Needs level jump to consider. If fancied one can take a chance.

Cow - has a fair chance due to its consistent performances. Better rider.

Oh Ms Akilah ..has shifted stables many times.rider is absolutely thrash..dubious to the core.

Vallee Secrete..may place.

Commanding Boy is on Negative shoes. Downward since shifting from.Krk to PR. Has seen better days. As field is suspect may Place.

6. The Blue. Apache Gal.

Random picks after ignoring fancied runner Act In Time which despite 20+ kgs ran well but lost to rank outsider in last start.

Card even otherwise looks quite dicey.. Even if shortlisted in blog... Do look for Horse weights.. If + 15kgs  ignore as very rarely ...unfit horses will finish on frame.

Pune Day 1

When all horses in fray are racing after a long break.. Its tough to pick horses which may do well as Fitness is at premium...Not past performance.  The shift in tracks also has a major impact as front runners usually have an edge in pune.. Stamina limitations is not an issue..post GST.. Stake money is peanuts as collections are expected to be poor.. Fradulent clubs like RWITC let bookies operate without complying with the country's GST rules. Entire management including the chairman are batting for bookies at cost of punters...time these scoundrels are bookes for Illegal betting conducted in club..

My picks are based on recent tracks and past form. Look for horse weights and ignore all horses which have put on more than 15 kgs since previous run.

Avoid low priced favorites in large fields..as luck Of draw may decide fate not merit..

Hi All ,

Race card looks tough , going by number of entries & declarations... with in and out running a feature at this centre , looks tough to crack the puzzle...

1. Akimbo. Cereza.

Most horses in fray have finished 15/20/30 lenghts behind Winner in previous outing. So there is no merit in any of them relatively. Those making debut can\t be backed with any confidence despite presence of heavy weight rider's.

Both shortlisted horses are regular in tracks & are equipped with decent saddle support... lot of junk riders in fray.. default choices ,, hope for them to do well..

2. King of the World , Sea Lagoon.

Bottom 2 rated horses in fray have ZERO chance , Savannah Sound has come up to class 1 beating some ordinary horses. With multiple entries from trainer , not easy to finish in top 2.

Sea Lagoon has a fair chance.

Last week None of the horses from Easwar stable delivered. Odds drifted dramatically , rider made feeble efforts ... hoping it will be tried here sincerely.

3. Gracious. Oceana

class VB race.


4. Diamond Attraction. Bold Nature, Sancy

Rogue trainer PCT has several entries , in addition a few in fray are also linked, Not sure which will be tried.Jockey declarations are not indicative.

5. Ascendency. Benedetta. Campeon.

3 entries from Rakesh. Chandini may be tried going by rider capability. 

Ascendency hasa fair chance , Place is certain. Rest depends on rider.

Lucky Emerald has done well this season , is entrusted to dubious mediocre rider.. may at best Place.

6. Invincible Wish. Poets Song.

Random picks , all repair broken up aged horses in fray , rest have done nothing in recent past.

7. La Pipieri. Robin Hood Pandey.

hoping low weights may enable one of these to do well.

Older horses are ignored. Couple of interlinkes horses too are in fray.  Hoping for an upset. Hence these choices.

2. Ira.  Blue Sonic

Raw Gold is the best but rider post accident is pale shadow of earlier self. Will start as fav.. Not worth a wager.

Ira was slow starter last outing in lower class.  A good jump and it can upset.

All dubious rogue trainers of blr are seen in this race..

3. Aero Speed.  Rising Brave.

Bora Bora logical choice due to Trevor + age factor. But over past few race days his record is dismal. As a fav.. No value in a bet.

3rd consequetive race of junk trainers..multiple entries..

4. Side Winder.  Krieger.

Winner should emerge from 4 year olds in fray.

5. Cantabria. Aelsir.

Race for maidens.. Rider credentials point towards these 2 horses.

6. Regency Girl.  Idealist.

Limited options.

Pretty bad show on saturday.. Hope for better luck on sunday..

Athena will run at low odds.. Can't suggest. Both horses did well in last start.. One of them could upset.

2. Miniver Rose. Mint.

Only 3 year olds can be considered. Obvious choice for all is speedy Miniver Rose..who has no opposition over 1100.. If it slows down in last 100 mtrs.. Mint can upset.

3. Mekong Delta. Fabulous.

Whatsmyscript looks difficult due to handicap.  Fabulous does have a good chance.. Trainer Jockey had a double on saturday..

Mekong Delta can do well despite last run which was pathetic.. Reason being switch in rider.

4. Prize Finder.  Dancing Princess.

Low class race.  PF is double demotee.

5. Tokyo Rose. Prevalent Force.

Race looks very open.  One race ahead of derby.. Too many horses in fray.

6. Chief Of Command. Windsor Forest.

Not convinced on distance suitability for Castle Bridge. May or May Not.

Last run of COC to be discounted. Bad draw.. Affected its chances..

WF.. Can do well.. Finish ahead of Manifold to whom it lost.

Both my picks are longer odds.. Riders relatively inexperienced.

7. Casey. Astrild.

Most are non winners in fray.

Missed Pinyada at 50 to 1.. Why chase now at 3 to 1..

Kol horse does not impress..

Spotlight too has fair chance.

8. Day Flower.  Eastern Flame.

Not the best in fray.. Just that this being last race hoping upset.

On merit Panchovilla has fair chance.

Derby weekend

Hi all..

Extremely competitive race card for next 2 days due to presence of multiple contenders having strong saddle support.. Lets hope for the best : i would be looking at these horses for a bet.. Final decision based on Odds.. If WIN odds are low ..best to opt for each way or Place..

1. Goshawk. Lawrence of Arabia. Great Tribute.

Goshawk ran well on debut.. Losing to a Horse which finished 2nd in fillies classic. With experience of race run + extended distance.. A fair chance to deliver.

In my opinion horses 1.5.6 have done nothing to merit a bet.

Mahasuvi ran well in prev outing but field was relatively poor.. As rider is not best suited.. Prefer to ignore.

Implicit Trust is inconsistent as seen in record since debut. Presence of Trevor may fetch place spot.

Lawrence of Arabia is best on tracks but runs first time this season. No clue on reasons for delay in racing. Lack of race run usually affects performance but as trainer has opted for good rider.. One cant overlook its credentials.

Castanea.. Psc does not inspire confidence though it is highest rated horse for whatever reasons.

Great Tribute.. But for jockey incompetence should have Won earlier.  Can place.

2. Fair Warning /   Kings Son.

Only 2 three year olds in fray.. Logically straight fight.. Rest have Zero chance. Who wins will  depend on tactics adopted. Easier option..which I Follow.. is to play 2nd favorite for Win..

3. Kings Kid. New Mallet.

Zero class race..

For Win only 2 contenders.. Kings Kid / After Hours . Kings Kid may be offered at higher Odds giving scope to hedge the bet. After Hours only Win bet possible due to odds factor. Can Win but not my kind of bet..

New Mallet or Brave Girl may occupy rest 1 spot.  Opting for low weights...better rider.

4. Amber Crown. Courtship.

Buscadero has least chance to Win.. May struggle to Place.

Amber Crown.. Last run was bad.. But rider was pathetic.. Earlier 4th was good effort. With Sandesh in saddle.. Fair chance..

Courtship was 4th when Buscadero ended 2nd. With relative handicap.. This horse has better chance to do well.. Has raced with classic bunch earlier in western india.

Silver Legend / Carolina have better claims than Buscadaro for Place.

5. Accolade.  La Dona.

The best mid distance horse in country is SAA.  Last 2 wins were at similar handicap. Won at extremely low Odds. Punters who went against it earlier were foolish.. Can it ever Lose ?? Some day all the mightiest have fallen for whatever reasons. I hope it Wins but as a punter ..no value in Win bet..

Accolade showed glimpse of old form in last outing.. Only visible threat to Multiple Classic Winner SAA.

La Dona /  Fire Glow may fight for rest 1 spot..

6. Hartnell.  Sporting Pleasure.

The way Namid lost tamely to Lady In Lace.. Looks difficult here.. Win chance is ruled out.

Ark Royal beat class 4 bunch.. No chance here to Win..

S. Pleasure..in and out running.. Notorious trainer.. Uses best jockeys for certain races.. Next time opts for mediocrity.. Saturday and sunday declarations reflect this clearly.
At low weights.. A fair chance...can definitely finish ahead of Namid.

Hartnell.. Only 3 year old in field.. Low weights.. Rest depends on rider capability.

7. Grand Empire. Lady Barrington..

Horses 1 to 4 were from Malakpet. May have Won handicap races earlier but atleast on pedigree None of them have a realistic chance of Winning.. At best a place Spot for 1 of 4 runners.

Kambaku ..rider wins 1 race in 4 seasons. ...As John is overweight.. Trainer could have atleast used services of other low weight riders..

Albaretta is blazing tracks.. Making debut.. Hence opted for experienced horses.

8.  Salvatore Mundi. Ultimate Power.

Horses 1.4.5.7.10 have limited chance to Win..  From rest these 2 appeal..

Tough to pick in advance...  at these low class centres ...even if fitness is confirmed intent may be lacking. as leading trainers V. Singh / B. Singh were in blr for couple of months... Advisable to skip their Fancied horses during first 2-3 meetings.

Most jockeys at this centre are backward.. No certainty as such.. Reason for ignoring favorites..

Saturday Races

Hi all ,

With early acceptances / declarations , all information is available to punters a couple of days prior to races. So why delay the blog posting ... 

Clubs are going slow for past 2 weeks , framing smaller cards but with increased entries ..for obvious reasons...not sure where this will lead to ..but punters surely have no remedy.

1. Paradiso. Tudor Prince,

Last run of Paradiso to be discounted as rogue Narredu family had multiple entries and their money was on horse ridden by SN, Cnsidering dismal form of rest of the runners a good chance to Place. Can Win if rider shows some competence. Record in Blr / Mys is pathetic.

Tudor Prince comes into contention by default.

Zafrina after Winning a race impressively as Favorite finished distance behind in next start , though penalty was very less. A race in which first 4 favorites did not even touch the board..such was the quality of that particular race. May Place.

Princess Holly / Mistress of Spice are both speedy , but may not be able to Win. At best one of them may Place.

2. Oasis Breeze ,  Multiple.

Race for maidens ,many of those who raced earlier finished distance behind ... 

As Times Goes Up , did well on opening day , runs after 2 months , stable record quite poor. Best to keep away  from Win bets.

O.Breeze is bred for speed & based on recent tracks / previous runs has a very good chance to deliver.

Multiple is making debut , bred fantastically has rider for the occassion , hence can't be ignored.

3. Bon Fire , Avarya

Tough race due to multiple contenders. Horses 3.6.11.14 are front line contenders and a few have raced together earlier this season.  Due to changes in rider capability and handicap , one can expect a reversal of Placings to some extent. Could have picked any of the 5 horses . just that i was looking for ODDS as well and feel that these 2 are capable of doing well.. rest depends on the luck of the race. 

Replaced Pearl City with Avarua as former is withdrawn ...

4. Baracchus . Micheala.

Horses in contention are 3.4.5.10.11.

Ideally a 4 year horse  has to Win .. 

Rafa may be running at Low Odds. 

Drops of Jupiter runs after long layoff.. has beaten discarded / repair cases in Kolkatta... rating can't be justified against blr based horses.

Aryton , last run with JUNK mediocre rider was pathetic.  Has Won with S.John earlier. But as his current form is bad , no point considering for WIN.

Saladin is seen finishing on well in past 2 outings. A reject from premier stables , difficult to go by previous runs.

5. Grecian Light , Rock N Rolla.

Regal Music Won impressively over 1400 .. start to finish .. after many dismal runs earlier. All that was required was a Injection ,,, a big gamble came through ,,, now runs over shorter trip against proven sprinters... no easy task.. 

Grecian Light - a demotee.. past runs to be ignored as rider was unable to do justice... facing a poor set of horses here.. can Win if intent is visible... but with John around , one needs to keep away if ODDS are low for comfort.

Rock N Rolla - has Won with work jockey in previous season. With many discards in fray , can Place /upset.

6. Lochinvaar , Satinette.

Mile trip , younger horses with handicap in favour and run benefit have scope to do well. 

Fresh Start did well last start , looks doubtful here for even Place.

Campari Girl after couple of dubious runs Won impressively in last start, May Place at best. 

Proud Prince comes from dubious stables , rider is known to ride aggressively in front. At low weights could Place. 

Alaina has been given too many chances , either no money on horse / rider not competent. can't decide.. hence ignored.

7.  Raw Gold . Arizona.

Logically preference should be given to 3 year old's of which Air of Distinction and Aine have fair credentials. 

Rider on Aine is one of the worst in blr.. earlier associated with rogue stable.. may or may not..

Air of Distinction may Place.

Raw Gold ran well in previous start , a 7 furlong horse , usually seen doing well in closing stages, sprint maybe tough but if opposition is weak , can do it.

Arizona - not faraway from Winner in last start. Good enough to Place , can do well Jockey Willing.

These are my choices..

1. Bold Runner.  Zala Princess.

Class Vb.. Junk horses vying for honors. These 2 appeal on handicap / rider capability.. No merit in any of the runners for obvious reasons..

2. Ira.  Nagarjuna.

Another junk race.. Looking at top / bottom rated horses.. More to do with Odds.

3. Carnervon. Great Tribute.

Last run of Carnevron was quite good considering work jockey. Has fair chance to Win.

Great Tribute.. Ignore last run as fancied runner. Stable is mighty inconsistent. Rider more fit for ooty and hyd..

Gandarva is poorly bred but ran well on debut. Flow of money decides its fate.

Ginger Benz may place at longer odds.

Being race for maidens.. At times many a calculation goes for a toss.

4. Multitude. Mickey Mouse.

Multitude runs over shorter trip.. Against pedigree.. Comes from non-competitive centre. Last effort during Invitation weekend was good.. A fair chance.

M. M a known front runner.. If rest are unable to judge pace.. Can gallop to glory.. Dubious connections.. Intent will be known only at race time.. Hence a ?  Prior to races.

Castle Key / Downtown Abbey.. Come from same stable.. One of these may Place.

5. Native Elements.  Honour.

Horses 1-4 are out handicapped or poor saddle support..

N. Elements has shifted stables. Has credentials to Place / Upset.

Honour may have needed 1400 in competitive bunch. Can do well here as most horses in fray are inconsistent.

Dream Star is known for doing well when least expected.. Look for race time pointers...on the tote..

6. Volatality. Bora Bora.

Not convinced on capability of Marina Del Ray.. Trainer known to Win at longer odds. As a fav best to skip.
