Multiple entries from pigheads Lagad Dallas & Abbas.. there is no certainty on any of them.. often unfancied runners from these yards Win..

In absence of Clarity .. have picked these 2..

If not convinced..Skip the race of bet on favorites as that is easiest option for punters.

Long day ahead.. post derby time to look for surprises ..As form goes for a toss.

Race may be dominated by 4 year olds..

Viking & Command Performance have weights in favour..no Form to back it's claims.. one of them may Place.

GP - Rider took a break during previous weekend.. going by law of averages has to strike Tom. A fair chance but not worth a wager if price is below 2 to 1 as horse is racing over this trip for first time

AG - weights should not be an issue. For highest rated horse...mediocre Rider assigned..Hope he does justice ..

2. Pugnacious. Daishonin.

M.Delta has raced in classics ..Hence higher rated..A non Winner for ages..Not listed here as TP is riding.. those confident can go ahead as it has improved from the time it lost to Pugnacious...

Pugnacious..Has beaten MD under adverse handicap earlier .. should hopefully Place .. can Win if MD falters. Returning after long layoff.. as low priced fav..Best to AVOID..

3. Jack Frost. Alaindair.

Alaindair will be short priced favorite.
Conceding weight..Facing younger opponents ..Not a certainty.

4. Carbonara.. Bounty Queen. Flashy Wings.

Carbonara has raced with superior opposition in recent past but was ridden by junk riders.. as field is relatively inferior here can do well if horse is FIT.

Lot of contenders in this race..Picking horses by consistency & odds offered.

On rwitc site..Night odds ..All horses are appearing.. such a farce..

5. Windsor Forest. Fair Warning.

Honestly no clue  , As this is race for maidens.. hoping one of these does well.

Tough to pick due to presence of many sprinters of repute.

6.9 are ignored for non racing reasons.
1.2 are linked..Prefer 2 due to age.

Champagne has no class... Gold Bag may at best Place.

Racing resumes after a LONG break by betting standards..

1. Splendid Brave , Oriental Belle.

Vb race ..Are these the best ?? Not by any means.. but tote / bookie favorites rarely do well in these junk races.. intent is to look at value bets..

2. Erstklassig , Match Point.

Most in fray are Non Winners..Those bred well are still rotting without Winning a single race..With 2 payouts & fancied runner looking good enough to finish in 1-2 ... Difficult to pick worst of the rest...

3. Good Earth , Don't Fully Dally.

Race for maidens..Many debutants in fray having impeccable bloodlines..

One more tough race to call / bet.

4. Rich Revival , Cool Baby.

Multiple contenders. Noble Flair is out handicapped..Interesting with low weights may at best Place.

Amazing Redd did all the running over 1400 before losing at post..Facing genuine sprinters..Hence ignored.

Secret Dimension - distance sharp..

Mill Rose has no form..Tronada has not Won for long.. Cool Baby has junk Rider ..But odds may be liberal for Place.

5. Booker Jones. Let the Lion Roar.

Cameron has beaten a few in fray in earlier occasions.. TP in saddle..

Booker Jones has been seen in many graded races.. has a good Rider..Good chance.

6. Paradiso. Flotus.

Multiple entries from Dubious Narredu clan.

All non performers / junk riders are best ignored..

7. Tea Wid Me. Goat.

Hoping that both these horses Finish in top 3..

8. Reference. Empress of Rome.

Many contenders..Choices based on Rider capabilities..

Derby Day

Hi all.

7 races to wager for Punters , most of them are competitive & has maximum runners unlike other race days where only 4-5 horses are seen in action.

Upsets or Higher payouts occur when there is uncertainty on outcome of race or there is too much hype on just 2-3 horses resulting in other horses being Ignored. Not sure if any race on derby day qualifies on that count.. posting this at 12.45 pm , scheduled to publish by 6 pm. 

Anything missed out , will update on race day along with JP choices...

Serenita has a fair chance , ignored here due to presence of TP.

Undisputed is a good horse but not having Winning form.

Celtic Prince may find trip a bit short for Comfort.

SS was an impressive Winner .. a good jump from gates & it can repeat though it is conceding weight.

Abbey - could Place.

2. Foolish to post a choice or Wager..


3. Soverignity. Komandant.

Derby distance trip in class 4. 

Imitation Game is a good horse but running after a long break. May or may not ..

Sanam has been doing very well over longer trips despite age.. however mediocre rider in saddle 

Raees - after many listless runs managed to Win in last outing .. another junk rider seen doing duty.. with Penalty looks difficult for Win.

Komandant .. upset chance over this trip.

Fancied runner has fair credentials. Presence of Sandesh is a positive factor.

4. Brazos. Elsa. Astara

Random picks ...as this is class VB JUNK event.

Lady named has raced with better bunch.. 

First Two can go the trip.. fair chance..

5. Zanara . Gold Bond.  Perfect Star.

Tough race as many are running over this distance for first time... a few debutants too..

Horse ridden by PSC is good ..but stables are highly inconsistent & a intent may not be there as trophy is in name of Late Owner.

Zanara was a failed favorite , lost due to pathetic handling..with better saddle support from David Allan - a fair chance.

Gold Bond , We Break the Rules , Admo are all in with a chance to do well.. race time pointers may help..

6. Benefactor. Lady Sergeant . Gallant Knight.

Million race for maidens... tough task to pick due to presence of many good horses having excellent pedigree + impressive trackworks.

Hoping that Winner is from the Shortlisted Three & atleast 2 of them fill the frame.

7. The feature event of the Day...

Having regard to the previous runs , it is evident that the race is restricted to just 4-5 horses and no big upsets can be expected. Which amongst these will do well is anybody's guess. As far as i am concerned this is Just another race for Punters.No special additional dividend offered by club.

I have mentioned about the chances of Horses in earlier post in the blog..

Suffice to say that in my reading of the race ....
SAA. Temerity. Hall of Famer . Mrs Patmore & Lucas are the contenders . Wagering will depend on Odds on offer for Win or Place.

8. Shaoqing. Minstrel Heights.

A dubious bookmaker who earns his Income by fixing races is sponsoring races. That should give a fair indication of How low RWITC has sunk..

Same horses running every week over various distances.. class vb..Nothing certain.. those who last the Trip will fare well.. no past form to go by merit..

5. George Cross . Mandy.

Horses 1.7.9 have least chance to Even Place.. AAA has poor saddle support.

Post penalty Sea Castle may at best Place.


6. Kiss N Chase. Jem Star.

Lot of junk riders / horses.. hoping one of these Win..

7. Vijays Delight. Green Striker.

Those rated below 40 are hopeless Repair cases... From the rest Sonic has been running so often & most often trailing field  .

3 rd Feb Blr Races

hi all ,

limited analysis ..tough to pick Winners in most races..ideally go by race time pointers ...hopeful that more than 10/16 would Place.

1.Sky Bound , Noble Princess.

Class Vb race .. usually minefield for punters due to lack of form .. presence of TP on Slightly Blonde may be for the bookies

2.Liege Lord , Proud Prince.

These 2 appeal .. though there are a few more consistent horses in the fray..

3.Mulholland , Botswana Bolt.

Race for maidens , a few making debut. Difficult to assess based on tracks , pedigree can be useful at times , not always. Hoping both of these horses are competent to make it in top 3.

4.Grecian Light , Island Pearl.

One more pathetic race , if we go thro Jockey declaration / past performance of horses .. very few options Open..

5.Solomon , Smile Stone .

Low rated horses can't Win for obvious reasons.

Mickey Mouse is the speediest of the lot , frequent change of riders / distance does have an impact on how the horse performs. When so many competent riders are available , why opt for mediocre I.Chisty.

New Prince - did well last start impressively .. not many good riders were seen in that race. Win may be low ..not worth a risk in feature event..

Mys based horse rarely do well elsewhere..

6.African Emperor , War Envoy.

Can't suggest TP Horse , Native has least chance , lot of repair cases in fray , entrusted to DUD riders. I;have Got Clout has been quite consistent .. may Place again.

7.Stella Mari, Divino.

Another low class race , many dud riders in action.

8.Summer Star , Goat.

Favorite , Free Style has a fair chance .. but at top weight , not very decent odds & TP astride i prefer to Skip.

Otherwise this event too is pathetic.

Indian Derby -

At acceptance stage 14 runners , as i read it following 8 horses - Bold March.Highland Breeze.Mathaiyus.Salazaar.Supreme General. Vulcan . Silver Beauty & Winter Renaissance have practically Zero chance to Win ...Luck of the race may help one of them to Place. 

Odds may be above 60 to 1 Win & 10 to 1 Place on most of them. Expect 5 to 1 for S.Beauty & Mathaiyus..If even one of them is able to make it to TOP 3 it would be a miracle.


From the rest ..Germanicus after Hyd run may have support but the field it beat was quite poor. Not sure if it can improve so much so as to Beat horses to which it lost earlier.

Lucas has potential , but no experience in big classics...distance suitability may also be an issue. But can't be ruled out.

Hall of Famer may not be able to match strides with SAA..if the latter can make the 2400 metres. Many a time .. a confident aggressive ride by David Allan makes a difference to the outcome of the race...

Mrs Patmore has beaten HOF earlier but lost to Temerity.Over extended distance tactics & riding abilities matter as past results have proven.With many interlinked horses in fray , difficult to assess on Current form.

Temerity Won impressively in the Oaks ..have to see if it can replicate beating the colts in the fray.


My estimate of Odds for whatever they are worth -

SAA - below 1.50  .. favorite
Temerity - 4 to 1
Hall of Famer - 5 to 1
Mrs Patmore - 8 to 1 Win & 1.5 for Place.
Lucas - 15 to 1 Win & 3 to 1 Place.
Germanicus - 20 to 1 , 4 to 1 Place.
