Concluding day of the current racing season. A dozen races to fill the coffers of the club. Obvious punters can't win all races nor they can afford to be selective. 

A sure shot bet - based on low odds - may fail , a horse ignored due to high odds - bad rider may succeed.  Part of the Game.

Predominantly maidens ( most repair cases )

 low grade. Class VB -  IV races.  Hence play for the odds.

Close call between the two.  Difficult to pick the horse which will place.

Bellingham may not be worth betting for Win.

Open looking race with no firm favorite.

4. Winning Attitude. Fortunatus.

Armstrong failed twice in recent past. Even if it wins here it is not worth a bet.

5. Five of Eight are from 1 trainer.

Horse 1 & 7 have zero chance to win or even place.

Making calculated guess based on odds is going to be difficult for 2 spots.

Imperia is the horse to beat & will run at low odds.

Glorious Power - Amyra for place.

6. Ashoka won previous start with A.Sandesh in  saddle at decent odds. Post penalty with different rider , chances of losing are High at low odds.

Both MAM horses and Malala are in fact better suited over this trip and should beat favorite

Race for 3 year olds which have not even placed since making debut. Few have races with superior opposition but most are junk.

This race is best left alone. Fancied runner odds may not be justified and there is no certainty on outcome.

Limited options as in 8 horse field ,  478 and probably even 1 may not finish in top 3.

3.  Assured Success. Pancho.

MikiMoto won very well but post penalty and at lower odds best to keep away.

Competitive race with # 1 3 5 10 also in the

Reckoning.

Looks open race despite presence of top riders

Divine Prophecy has won all 3 starts but beat local brigade most of whom are not in classic mould.

Divine Art just cleared maidens.

Not that these 4 cannot do well , just that tough to wager on them confidently. 

Magnetic though recently finished 2nd in classic , horses behind were pure junk

Mother's Grace just cleared maidens in pune after few runs in Mumbai & Kolkata. Has scope to do well here in modest field.

Favorite from DT ward has fair credentials.

1. Tankinika. Avicena.

Most of the runners have finished double distance behind Winner in past outings. Junk race with most riders backward - fraudulent trainers. So in all probability punters will opt for well known rider. Often that logic fails. Few times it succeeds.

Hopeful both will finish in top 3.

3. Scarlette Lady. Promise of Future.

Limited options - rest depends on odds.

MazalTov post penalty looks difficult for win.

Roman Spirit , past couple of runs were with work Jockeys.  Can place though stable mate is the better horse but rider declared is junk.

Finley beat nothing of note. Low weight does not mean it can beat experienced higher rated horses.

5. Rodney.  Disciple.

The peti punters were grieving after shortest priced favorite Rodney dropped rider. Healthier odds here due to presence of interesting horses.  

Napolean & Channi Garaya are also good.

Horses 2 to 6 are contenders. Do play for odds as any of those 5 can finish in top 3

Isn't she beautiful won at lucrative odds ending a long long losing streak. Winning here looks tough

1. Just incredible was racing in class 2. Now racing in class 4 against horses which have come from class 5. Logically no opposition but lack of form - top weight may hamper it's chances. Not worth a bet if odds are low for comfort.

The Bangalore races

 

Race 1 . 

# 5 Favorite backed as if victory was a formality.   Vb classic , finished 2nd. Winner was available at lucrative odds.

Race 2 - # 3 backed at all odds.  End result did not even place. Winner 15-1

Race 3 - peti punters wanted to extract revenge by betting on # 6.  Bet and in. flash collect dividend. Odds of 35 paisa. End result Did not even finish in top 5 positions. In fact ended Last.  No refund , unfortunately even if rider falls off 😀

Top riders Sandesh placed at 4-1. When was the last time horse ridden by him was offered such Rich Odds.

Race 4-  Jockey J Chinoy , nobody even remembers when he last rode in blr , leave aside Winning. # 6 TiePolo was made on money fav .  End result stable mate ridden by one of the best Jockeys finished 2nd paying 2.5 odds. .  Favorite horse Board Out 

Race 5 -  horses 3 & 6 were backed vigorously as if none of the others had any chance of finishing in top 2.  Fav opened at low odds , board out.

Again Sandesh placed at very good odds of 2.50 

Race 6 - Top 2 Jockeys  , Suraj & Vivek , with demi God status from punters. Jodi out. In fact Suraj Horse which was first favorite was  unplaced . Horse which finished 3rd was offered at 20-1 for place as it was a 6 year old , but no takers , why because , in punter mind longer odds have no chance. Only top 3 favorites have to finish 123. Punters logic. 

Race 7 - last event of the day - 4 horses were fancied. All below 5-1. Which in itself indicates it was bogus odds. Obvious 1 of the 4 won. Rest 3 bets were for the Bookies.

In case you are wondering why this results occured. Go back to previous race day Aug 3rd when 10 races were held , 9 fancied horses obliged with Suraj Narredu in the limelight. 

So was it a coincidence that most of the favorites did not even place today. Punters had sweet dreams on Wednesday night as it was all small fields and pick money was there . 

Hope they have same dream tonite ahead of Friday races.

Limited options.

Last Wish is the best in fray. Rider change. Jockey declared has not been consistent  blank last season.

7. Final Judgement.  Cherish the lady.

On paper looks like favorites many dominate. But Hyd is known for its surprises.
