Vb junk race.  Not many have credentials. Winner could be from shortlisted horses.

2. Quality Warrior . Joy O Joy.

Race for maidens. QW is best bred. Last run was indicative of potential.

Top Diamond does have better saddle support in the field. 

Divine Chakram & JOY have merit to place.

3. Loch Stella.  Mystery.

Mystery won twice when entrusted to good riders. Subsequent runs were a farce as junk riders negative equipment affected performance. Rider declared now is quite decent .

Loch Stella has come down a lot in ratings. Stable mate is conceding weight. Upset if any.

NRI Magic has no consistent form as such.

4. NRI Sun ,   Horse O War.

Due Diligence won class v race. Manner of winning looked good to the eye.  Not sure if it can beat experienced class 4 horses.

NRI Sun ran well in prev outing.  Not a model of consistency.  Best to skip WIN bet as odds may be below 70/100.

Rest of field finishing distance behind in prev outing. Tough to wager with confidence. Horse O War does appeal due to age & has raced with quality horses earlier. Prev run , junk rider.

5.  Reigning Queen. Sharp Mind.

Race for unplaced horses. 

RQ has credentials to beat S.Cruise.

6. Different.  Kingston.

Different is known to cut a fast pace. Ideal for 1100 metres. Declaration of -5 kg Allowance Rider is positive. 

Blink of an eye may struggle here due to tough handicap.

Thunder Road is in with chance to place. Younger horse Kingston can sneak in for place.

7. Just Incredible. Mirana.

Saffron Art at low weight is definitely in with a chance. Quality of saddle support is not very encouraging. Trainer has no choice due to alloted rating - can only opt for low weight riders - who may not be able to do justice. Last couple of runs were good.

Scramjet - low odds. Trevor reason to avoid Win bet.

Just Incredible , upset chance. Has good turn of foot. Can stay the trip.

8. The Prospect. Amyra.

The Prospect was unfit in prev outing. Had put on a lot of weight  , reason for it to slow down . Should have stripped fitter. Place looks good.

The horse which SMYW beat was unplaced in subsequent start thereby raising doubts on its merit.  Low odds.

1. Geisha Girl.  Andromeda Sky.

Elegant Touch does not appeal for Win . Soul Mate 4th on debut over minimum distance with work jockey. 

With fancies runners obliging on Thursday , upset if any would be Geisha Girl.

2. Tudor. Despacito.  Rippling Waters.

Only 3 year old in fray may start as Short Priced Favorite.

Speedy Despacito has fair credentials to Place.

Rippling Waters & Royal Rules may fight for place spot.

3. Attica.  Chaitanya.

Lot of contenders in fray.  Tough to pick the best . Smaller stable horses chosen.

4. Catelyn.  Octavian.

Catelyn was seen finishing on well in prev outing.  Fair chance.

Star Twist has come down a lot in ratings. Last run could not catch speedy Wakeful. Poor ride too.  Place odds may be meagre.

Thats my class has seen better days. Weight is an issue.

5. Night Hunt.  Hebron.

Lordship has won only twice . Low weights + age factor may help it's cause.  Facing genuine opposition.

Chief Of Command is long shot place prospect.

6. Oberon. Golden Streak.

No whip race.

Madras races thursday

 

1. Velocity.  Dream Run.

Junk Vb race. Up & @ Them has won in this class earlier , gets services of local champion rider.  May need this run.

Symphony in Style is from junk sire. Could start as favourite. Tough to consider .

Velocity entrusted to rider whose last win may have been 10 years ago. Lost & forgotten. Horse does have credentials in zero class.

2. Bold Arrangement. Malabar.

Random Picks.  Those who raced earlier have failed miserably. Only 2 payouts. Fancied runners low dividends not worth the risk.

3. Victory Talk.  Hallucinate.

Horses 6 to 9 have least chance to even place. Such being the case options are limited.

4. Annexed. WaytoGo.

Short priced favorite for the day. Hence this race not worth wagering.  Place may not yield much on horses which have credentials.

5. Cavalli Vincente. Radical Review.

Lot of contenders. Tough to segregate.  Hence opted for 4 year old's.

6. Big Treasure.  Wonderful Era.

7.  Glorious Victory.  Eyes of Falcon.

1.  Morior Invictus. Moonlight Ruby.

Salisbury looks best on pedigree but absolutely junk rider. Why risk bet.  Maximum Glamour was long way 3rd on debut. Extended distance & low odds reason to skip.

2. Explosive. Sublime.

Junk race.  Best horse is Miss Marvellous which has come down in ratings , seen better opposition. Performance of horses from this stable is extremely difficult to predict. Good rider. Worth taking a chance. 

Explosive was seen finishing on well over 1200. With benefit of run can do well.

Sublime long shot place prospect.

3. Winning Streak.  Soloist.

Limited options. Obvious Soloist will be favorite. Low odds.

4. Campania. Steve Rogers.

Both have better saddle support when compared to previous run. 

Lamha is out handicapped. 

5. Secret Command.  Star Babe.

The classic vb race of hyd where 90% winners are long shots. 

6. Incredulous. Her Legacy. 

Both are speedy & have claims.

NRI vision may struggle amongst speedy front runners.

Rapid Fire , surprised to see it do well over mile trip last week. Has claims on account of onam Festival .

6. Victory Parade. Consigliori.

VP is looking very fit.  A genuine challenger to Corfu Castle. Place odds may be quite decent.

Consigliori owner / trainee changed.  Is entrusted to good rider. A known front runner ,  if fit can perform beyond expectations.

8. Big Day. Berkeley.

Choices for the day ; 

1. Max. Blickfang.

Max has better saddle support compared to prev outings. Good chance.

Horses 245 are also having credentials. 

2. Thanks.  Mireya.

Galwan , maiden after 5 outings.  May find it tough here.

Thanks was moving very well during closing stages in prev outing. Rider retired hurt after race.  Can make amends here. 

Mireya , One More Time &  Mehrnoosh are best of the rest. Luck of the draw & rider capabilities may decide which of these perform well .

3. Whiskey Martini.  Blue Valentine.

ATL concedes weight & allowance rider may have aided its cause.

B.Valentine , dubious run by P.Trevor.  Looks fit now.

W.Martini  is well bred , odds may be in favour. Can be considered despite rider.

4. 

3 out of 8 runners from 1 stable. Couple of others horses have no form whatsoever. Limited options. 

Francis Bacon unbelievable transformation compared to runs in prev 2 season.  Fancied horses for Place 1 & 7 may not fetch more than 30/100 for Place. 

Favorite to Win , Falcon Edge will be offered below 60/100. Win or lose ,  no point considering betting on fav. 

Those willing to take risk can consider Dandy Man for place or Peaky Blinders for Win.

5. Reno Star.  Soviet Pride.

Again 3 horses from stable of  RHS.  As British empress is running 1st time this season ignored.

Ashwa Yashobali facing tough opposition here. Havelock Cruise can also do well. Top weight , mile trip are to be factored.

6. Blissful. Appenzelle.

Castle Rock post penalty looks doubtful. Prev win was courtesy dubious ride by P.Trevor & Akshay Kumar on fancied horses.

Painted Apache could place.

7. Miracle . Alicia

Based on past form , current rating there is no opposition to fancied runner. Long break &  first run Hyd Tracks are factors to consider. In any case at 60/100 or below what's the point in wagering.

Alicia did very well on debut recently. Extended distance may help.

Limoncello won impressively.  Local contender with feel of tracks against Fancied runner who has imposing credentials.

Blr based horses look a bit rusty. Scintillating Pass ,  Distance suitable. Last run to be ignored. Could Place.

Class 4.  Horses 13578 have least chance to Win. Amongst the rest these 2 have fair chance

Distance suitability & handicap may help these 2. Last run of Protea was bizarre. 

3. Turf Beauty.  Amber Lightning

Those who have raced earlier have not shown much ability. Could go any which way depending on intent..

4. Glorious Legend. Amendment.

Probably restricted to 3 year old's.  Eagle Prince looks superior but rider record in Chennai on fancied horses is very poor.

5. God's Plan.  Breaking Bounds.

Emissary  Star Guitar are more of a 5 furlong horses though they may have done well over this trip. 

Those with negative equipment are not considered.

6. Lord Ship . Wakeful.

A few in fray are known to do well over MidDistance as they do not have initial speed .  Hence Octavian Penang Rutbedaar Sentosa are ignored 

Mon General is known to be speedy . Probably 1100 may be ideal. Besides handicap is not helpful.

7. Rhiannon. Namaqua.

Race over minimum trip. Front runners do have the advantage. Rest depends on rider capabilities. Last 2 runs of Star waves were backward. Weights are down , could place.

8. Royal Rules . Glorious Victory.

Madras Races today

 

A look at the card & predominantly Outstation riders are seen . Obvious betting would be centered on them due to paucity of good local riders . Local Jockeys with -5 allowance are yet to prove credentials. Few riders declared are junk.

Do consider only if odds are decent. Be it Win or Place. No point betting if return is below 100%

1. Driftwood Pacific. Romantic Bay.

Junk Vb race . Makes no sense to follow experienced well known Riders as odds would be low for comfort , hence bet would be risky . 

2. Beauteous Maximus.  Royal Pearl.

There are 4-5 contenders in the fray. 3 year old horses. Difficult decide unless we get to know Horse Weight / Odds.

3. Mr Kool. Race for the Stars.

Probably race restricted to these 2 . Carnoustie may place.

4. Glorious Symphony . Bright Light 

Open looking race.  Easy to find merit after the race 😀

5. King T'Chala.  Royal Currency.

Feature event of the day.

Megasthenes , top rated ,  concedes weight over sprint trip. May be tough particularly since running after long break.

Nayadeep may need more distance based on Hyd runs.

Mzilikazi ridden by mediocre rider. Does have fair record in Chennai.

Priceless Ruler - lesser fancied stablemate. Multiple entries from trainer.

Royal Currency is speedy , chance bet. King T'Chala is inconsistent but on its day capable of doing well 

6. Angel Heart . Emelda.

AH has a terrific record . Owner may be gifted a race on opening day for getting permission for racing activities. Though it would be Foolish to bet at low odds .

7. Desert Force. Rippling Waters.

First 6 races , most of the fancied horses ridden by Outstation jockeys. Lesser known local riders may come in for place at longer odds . Last race ,there is fair chance for them to do well.

Day 1 blr races

Live racing resumes after 4.5  months. No online betting today on playhyd or betindiaraces. So punters have to visit club .

 First day lot of races for horses in lowest class / maidens. Fitness can only be ascertained by Horse weight at race time.

Low profile riders may grab a few races. Tried to avoid mentioning low priced favorites as it makes no sense. 

My picks are as follows ;

1. Perfect Halo.  Song & Dance.

2. Dynamical. In A Breeze.

3. Analect. Serenedip.

4. Secret of Life. Etosha.

5. Sir Pheonix. Muirfield.

6. Multifaceted.  She's My Script.

7. Redoubtable. Sea of Cortez.

8. Drusilla. Flamingo Road.

Jockey declarations may not help during first few meetings as First criteria is Horse Fitness. Unfit horse with even the best rider may end up in the rucks.

Consider these only if - 

Odds are above "  Evens "  

Be it  - Win or Place.  

Even a moral certainty which offers less than 100% is not worth a Penny. 

Always Place your TOTE bets 1-2 minutes before race time.  Due to high taxes & low collections , tote display of Rs 30 may come down to Rs 13-14 by race time. 

And if the bet is unsuccessful , punter will look like a Idiot having gambled for Extra Rs 3-4 only.
