Hi all ,

My Choices for the day  -

1.Windsor Park , Tina’s Touch , Air Display.

A class IV race ,  9 non performers in the fray. Hopefully one of these will Win and 2 of them could place.

Windsor Park has a decent chance , rest depends on the quality of the ride as the jockey is yet to WIN a race for past 2 seasons.

Tina’s Touch is speedy , looks the best among the 3 year old’s in the fray.

Air Display – repair case , shifted from sporting owner to gambling owner. First run this season was forward . Can hope to place at longer odds .

 2. Spaniard , Union Jack , Absolute Majority.

Absolute Majority on merit looks the best having Won a race over the same distance earlier in the season . The jockey is pretty poor and has been taking punters for a royal ride. Hence best avoided.

Spaniard – tracks are impressive , should be moral for place.

Union Jack and Own Asset ran together in the race won by Shivalik Hero. Both the jockeys are linked to the fortunes of the favorite and hence a ?? on the intent.

Spaniard – might be good value for money ,if it finishes in top 2 hence a e/way bet can be considered.

3. Real Steel , Dream Runner , Shahraan.

Diamonite cant be considered due to the Oscar Winning performance in previous outing.

Real Steel – impressive Winner on debut , the penalty looks stiff as it is competing in a handicap race. A fair chance  to Win.

Forest Spirit – lost at the post in the lower class. The stable failed to please the punters on Saturday. A Win here looks unlikely as previous run was against poor competitors.

Real Steel can be considered above EVENS else small token bets for place on the long shots listed above.

4.Petite Fleur , Boudicca , Simra.

My Law was given a dubious ride by Zervan on debut , the Winner being from the friendly stable. Not sure what to expect here from S.John who has become the savior of the bookies.

Petite Fleur and Boudicca are both tracking well and have a good chance to deliver. Both the jockeys were basking in the glory on Saturday. Hope they retain the same zest on Sunday too.

Will Star – last run was against speedier horses , can only place here.

Simra – a small chance to place as recent tracks are noteworthy.

Petite Fleur can be considered as a chance bet.

5. Sun Divine , Violent Storm , Eastern Summit

There are only three horses competing .

Sun Divine is the horse to beat , considering its 2 Wins.

Eastern Summit has surprisingly changed stables from M.P.Mahesh to Sharat Kumar. beat the likes of Rusty a class VB horse , can only place as Win looks impossible due to the handicap.

As Sun Divine is ridden by trapeze artist Suraj one has no choice but to skip . Place bet on V.Storm may not fetch much.

6.{ Gold Glamor , Carduzzi } Vijays Best.

The feature event of the day , with just 7 final entries . Many  trainers preferring to skip this for what ever reasons .

Déjà vu – on merit a very good chance to Win. But having regard to the excellent performance of Trainer I.A.Sait & Jockey S.Zervan one is inclined to pray for their success without wagering.

Manyatta and Loyal King may be mere participants.

Carduzzi impressed on debut. Tracks are very impressive , should run a bold race though short of experience compared to the others.

Vijays Best – a very clinical victory achieved in race 61.  Has sound credentials to repeat.

Thunder Bay – both its runs this season has been forward, Bred for speed , is this run a bit too early for comfort is the ??

Gold Glamour – flopped very badly in race 34. Was strongly fancied for Win but ended last , 30 lenghts behind the Winner..Was it due to the extended distance or any other reason is unknown. Had Won a million race on debut @ mumbai when least fancied. Considering the pedigree and latest tracks , a fair chance to succeed.

 With only 2 payouts in this race , the odds are expected to be attractive. Gold Glamour or Carduzzi is the toss of the coin.

 7.Sunday Cruz , Brabus Speed , Free Law .

The fancied duo had raced together in 2011 , Free Law had WON the battle . Subsequent runs of Free Law has been very very poor. Sunday Cruz changed stables and picked a race finally in 2012. The last run was forward , change in equipment / jockey conveys intent to WIN.

Brabus Speed – another horse which is shifting stables at regular intervals. A good 2 nd to KlipSpringer , can place again.

Sunday Cruz – WIN or Brabus Speed place depending on the race time odds.

8.(Lad King , Pre Ordained ) Inquisition.

Lad King , jockey made his move a bit too late in the race won by Maple Star , else could have easily finished 2 nd. A fair chance to do well , rest depends on Intent. Owner’s color not prominent these days , is known to give the nod only when his Money is on the horse.

Pre Ordained – a fair 2 nd to Show Time , can improve further as the handicap is attractive relatively speaking.

Inquisition was given a poor ride by I.Chisty , losing to the likes of Thoughts and Actions a class IV horse. He is a bookies delight and was proved by the performance on Saturday.

Capote – fit for 1200 , over this distance only a small chance for place.

Magnitude Star – previous run cant be taken at face value for horses from Sharat Kumar stables. His blank and transparent record is there for all to see.

9.Lads Ability , Invincible Shot , Effectual .

Effectual ,a failed favorite at 80/100 , most experts had thought it was pick money. Was it the weight or bad riding ? with Red Bolt picking a race in class II subsequently the chances of Effectual are indeed looking bright . 

Lads Ability is pleasing in tracks and should place , though the previous run was quite poor.

I.shot – A Winner in last outing beating class VB horses.May place due to poor form of many horses in the fray.

The Owner’s name on Sparkling Image has finally been changed after a WIN at lucrative odds. The current owner name is familiar to most punters. A front for big time players.Cant be expected to deliver here.

Hill Stone – betting for place on I.Ghatala horses are risky these days as every jockey is involved in his own antics , playing to the gallery.

Lads Ability is a chance e/w bet under the circumstances,

Blr race selections

Hi all ,

Not going to be easy to pick Winners on Saturday . The current form of a few fancied horses are pretty good, the form of trainers and jockeys are not very positive this season. 

Lets hope for the best , comments and choices for the day are –

1.Clever Trick , London Eye , She’s Splendid.

Shocking to see the bifurcation of entries in terms race where ratings are not the sole criteria. 6 of the best horses are in seen in division 1 , the worst horses are seen in div 2. When most horses are seen finishing 20 lenghts behind the Winner in previous races , one has to go by the bloodline and jockey declared to ride  to pick the contenders rather than merit . Horses 1,3,4 and 5 can be ignored

Clever Trick has positive change in equipment , siblings have done very  well in the recent past. Apprentice jockey has shown some sparkle but yet to Win a terms race . Can Win but definitely not worth a bet below 2.50 .

London Eye was in the front bunch before fading away in the race won by Macedonia. Seeing the quality in this race , a fair chance to place.

Towers of Hanoi- except for the name of the horse and the jockey riding nothing else is positive . S.John’s record has been very dismal this season. Not sure if he is pretending to ride ??

Impressive Touch – the best on breeding , tracks are ok for a debutant , trainer I.A.Sait one of the rare trainers who has not been able to WIN a single race .A few horses from this stable fancied for WIN have not placed.  

She’s Splendid – lots of track work. When the field is pretty poor , any activity on tracks are okay.

 

Clever Trick may not worth a WIN bet due to the ODDS , place bet on the fancied runners may not fetch more than 70/100. Best option is to skip this race.Those willing to take a risk for higher returns can try place on She’s Splendid.  

2. Divine Deliverance , San Ramon , Wing Commander.

A tricky race as half the field are capable of doing well.Horses 1.4.5.8.10.12 ruled out.

Divine Deliverance – a good 3 rd on debit to Equine Lover. Recent tracks are pretty impressive. Can the rider do justice to all his mounts for the day or will he take it easy is the ???

Entertainer – has been running some fair races over this distance. A place prospect.

San Ramon – did very well in its first outing in bangalore. Very well bred , has a good rider , should place easily. Rest depends on the pace of the race.

Summer Dust – has seen better company but long absence from tracks ,first run this season , not very positive track works , gives the impression it may need this run.

Wing Commander – debut run can be ignored due to poor saddle support , running over right distance .Is the jockey / trainer combination right ??  John has Won 2 races this season ( Arjun M and Prasanna Kumar ) all his rides for Padmanabhan have been pathetic.

Sun Salutation – lost as favorite in Mumbai. Previous run was poor and track work is just average.

Divine Deliverance may be the best on tracks but confidence to bet is low due to ODDS and Jockey factor.  Place payouts on the contenders  may not offer much. 
Hence either - San Ramon / Wing Commander can be considered for e/w , they represent value for money , if they finish in the top 2.

3. Amitayus , Most Wanted , Nocturnal Hunter.

Horses 2.5.6.7. are not likely to trouble the bookies.

Amitayus – a poor ride cost the connections a Win in race 383. Bred to do well over 1400 – 1600. Should place , can it WIN ??

Most Wanted – bred for speed , debut run has to be ignored as 2 speedy horses hit the front , the rest could not quite judge the pace to perfection.

Nocturnal Hunter – previous 2 runs were over 1400 , reducing the distance does not send positive signals particularly when the DAM is known for its staying abilities.

Sans Frontieres – fantastic pedigree , good name , good jockey and trainer. What else ?? 

Fire Light – a consistent performer in Winter. Last run was poor only because the rider took his place for granted.

Talita’s Girl – a joint venture between a breeder and the gambling owner. Tracks are given by the jockey doing duty unlike the other horses .

Most Wanted and FireLight look good for place , not sure of the expected payouts. Relative jockey merit points towards Most Wanted for a place bet. Talita’s Girl , small e/w bets.

4.Ascot Magic , Imperial Verse , Simply Stylish .

A few good 3 year old’s in the fray. Much will be heard of them in the near future.

TinTinnabulation – a Winner over 1100 , the steep step up in the distance and the handicap does not look positive.

Dark Avenger – a place prospect only , Won a race in Malakpet , debut run at bangalore was poor , that can be explained by the Jockey who was all at sea.

Simply Stylish – Very impressive Winner over 1400 , after 2 sub standard performances. Place looks certain , rider is known to relish using the whip which may affect its chances to some extent.

Ascot Magic – a lot of hype on its potential. Impressive Winner on debut.Tracked from 13.5 to 27.6 by the same jockey who is declared to ride. That indicates the value of the horse as usually work jockeys are involved in morning tracks. A good chance to WIN.

Imperial Verse – Will place due to limited contenders in the fray.

Ascot Magic WIN if the ODDS are decent . The only other option is Imperial Verse place.

5.The feature event of the day  , the trophy instituted in memory of Jockey Srinath’s father who was a former official at the club.

Atlantus – Trainer is having the best time of his life this season. Why will he try to Blemish that record.

Kyles of bute – rider is the most incompetent jockey ever seen in tracks hence no chance

Star Marquess – on last known form , difficult for WIN , may place though.

One life to love – Won a race in Mysore then was shown its place at Malakpet. Last 5 runs have been dismal.

Tomsk – had a fruitful association with S.John , not sure why this jockey is opted.

Mid Town Magic – after losing to the likes of Bold Police made a come back in race 291 in Winter. First run this season was ridden by Work Jockey.Not much track work noticed. Can place.

Casnova – Won a class 2 race recently beating  bunch of non performing horses located at Bangalore. Having regard to the manner of victory and the track conditions a fair chance.

Celestial Son – looks difficult , last run was a lottery due to the handicap.

Spark of Silver – its previous run should be ignored as it was competing with younger horses all of whom have run in classics. Has good turn of foot . Can be a live threat due to the attractive handicap.

Native Talent , Smile all the Way and Sky Trainer – no hopers

Spark of Silver – place or each way , only because its difficult to consider the top handicap horses for WiN.

6. Bernica , Fantastic Strike , Aladdin.

Class IV race , the comments may not be very useful. Race time pointers and Odds should be the criteria for betting.

Bernica is my choice , will be happy if it finishes in top 3.

7.Brigade’s Passion , Good Gift , Southern Pearl.

Class Vb race.

Good Gift e/w may be a better option as its previous run was forward , rider merit is superior here.

8.Rise to Glory , Claara , Bounty Hunter.

Class Iv race , too many pretenders like Lucky Sam and Royal Spirit.

Rise to Glory was finishing on well in its last outing and is a chance bet.

options for Mysore races

A long drawn out card framed for Wednesday , compensating for the cancellation of Thursday races.

Comments / Choices are -

1.With top 2 trainers of Mysore preferring to entrust their horses to OOTY specialist jockeys , punters will have no clue on the outcome . Both take turns Winning races when the horse trained by the other is the favorite. So logically punters can take a chance on the 2 nd favorite or skip the bet.None of the others impress for the 3 rd spot , though there may be support for Altira based on its pedigree and jockey merit. Last week the trainer’s 2 horses were strongly fancied for WIN , both did not even place. That being the speciality of Mysore , it is difficult to play place bets on fancied horses.. 

2.    Ace High and Good Shot are speedy , One of them has a genuine chance to finish in the top 2 if riddenwell. Both the jockeys have not Won a race this season and hence can be considered as chance bets .Winning Tale may find this set tough to beat due to the handicap. River Gem has a upcoming rider and Should run a good race.

Based on race time odds Ace High or River Gem can be considered.

3.    Emerald is a class superior as it is from the main circuit. The earlier trainer having ruined its career , one is not sure of how well it can perform even in a center like Mysore. The real owner of the horse will stand to benefit if the Horses loses .   Behram has not shown consistency , Haggler cant be expected to Win for the 3 rd time this season. Awesome Fighter has the weights in favour but is not a genuine class III horse. Always on Top  and Guided Missile being the only other horses capable of going well. The latter was a class I horses in 2011 and has come down a lot in rating , fit and ready for a gamble.

Guided Missile is a good easy way bet if the horse is in the betting. Below 10 to 1. Else one has no option but to go with Always on Top. 

4.High Treason looks out handicapped over this distance. Color Me is aiming for the 5 th successive WIN. Last Win was against pretty ordinary horses. Looks difficult here in class II considering the weights and the relative merit of the horses in the fray. Shaka Zulu , an expensive failure in its previous run cant be backed with confidence due to the presence of Milan. Demanding Format comes into contention by default .Last run has to be condoned as it was ridden by the worst ever jockey in mysore – Himanshu. As this horse is linked to Color Me , one is not sure of the intent . 

Demanding Format  in my opinion may be a  value for money bet. 

5.Legal Knight will be below EVENS for obvious reasons . The trainer has a decent record on fancied horses and is not a risk free bet .Enduring Speed may at best finish 3 rd. You’re Kisses due a failed favorite is now ridden by a dubious jockey. Gambit and The World is Too Much are capable of doing well when least fancied. 

Skip or take a Chance bet for place on  -  The World Is too Much  

6. Huckelberry Finn and Prost have fair credentials for place. Time to Time was given an easy run in race 14 Won by Spirituality. The change in equipment conveys intent to do well here and the recent tracks are encouraging. Lake of Fortune Won in the main season in 2011 when competing against blr based horses a big race time gamble coming thro successfully. Subsequent runs with mediocre jockeys over wrong distances have led to a substantial reduction in ratings. Can be the upset for the day. 

Each way - Lake of Fortune may yield High returns ,  risk are higher but with less investment or Time to Time , a bet with low risk & lower returns . 

7. Last week Bahmaan did exceedingly well and Give me the Money’s run was poor. One could expect a reversal in fortunes here for obvious reasons. Kukanoff’s last run was very poor and Passage of Time is running too often for comfort. Prince Ashwin has sound credentials , trainer had a lucrative double on Friday. He is more used to winning 2 races in 2 years , so after a big achievement , its difficult to bet confidently within a span of 4 days. 

Give me the Money – only place due to lack of clarity. 

8.Perfect Analysis and Atom Bomb look to be the best of the lot. The speedy Amber Star could have been considered with a allowance jockey. Take My Word placed when least expected over 1400 metres. When punters expect it to shine over 1200 , I guess the trainer and the jockey will have different ideas. 

P.Analysis will be in odds , place payouts will be low , only WIN bet ??  

Atom Bomb can live up to its name as payouts will be substantial if it does well. Each way , seems better .  

9.Thriller needs a mile  , besides ridden by a rookie. Bullish Luck cant be expected to place at this handicap , based on its run last week. The Gain lived up to its name for the Owner / bookie in its earlier outing. Prezzie was a big gamble which came through on Friday. The allowance jockey has shown promise. Horses 3.6.9. being linked difficult to confidently bet for WIN. Mystic Enchantress , unexpected Winner , trainer changes the jockey for what ever reason. No hopes at this handicap. Time for All being the only other contender in the fray.    

Prezzie , has fair credentials , merits atleast a place chance else Time for All , each way .

Choices for Sunday races

Hi all  ,

Saturday’s race results give a fair indication of how competitive racing was.The win and place payouts were more like the Chennai race dividends as everyone is aware of the poor field and bet only on 3-4 fancied horses.

Followers of short priced favorites did have a good day. With such one sided races the whole purpose of conducting the races was lost. The high point being was trainer I.Ghatala.

Sunday should hopefully see some healthier payouts .Due to constraints of time only short selections. Decision to bet can be based on individual judgements at race time based on prevailing odds. Pay outs may be good in class class 4 and 5 races today.

As always I don’t  recommend betting on On Money Favorites , even if they are short listed here. 

1.Charlemagne , Distinctive , Black Pearl.

 

Considering the likely odds for WIN / Place , this race is not worth considering for betting.

 

2.North Cape , Voice of India , Cowboy Gal.

 

North Cape is speedy and deserves a look as odds would be decent for a e/w wager , rider merit is to be factored.

Voice of India should place as it has seen better company.

Cowboy Gal is not worth a WIN bet. 

 

3.Cielo Signore , Ace Elegance , Sebright.

Tricky race as the first and third named have established their credentials in the previous outing.Sebright was ridden in a atrocious manner by Selvaraj and CS lost out in the betting. The eventual winner was too good.

4.Royal Music , Cash the Cheque , Wonderlash.

Class VB race , no point in looking at fancied runners as the risks do not justify the returns. Either skip or look for value bets .

5.Laurel Canyon , Diamonite , Knowledge.



Diamonite is the best , will be at unbettable odds and there is no certainty on it passing the Winning post first based on the pathetic and dubious methods adopted by the trainer.

Laurel Canyon beat a poor set , yet one cant ignore for minor placings and hence a place bet would be in order.

6.BORSALINO  – last run was very promising but field was poor and this horse was in receipt of weight. At level terms , difficult to place.

CECIL  – short of experience / class

CIRQUE DU SOLEIL  – pace maker for other stable horses

HACHIKO – the PBM Winner . An impressive Winner in the first 3 outings. Was sacrificed in the next outing , which came a bit too soon. The tracks at bangalore are pleasing. Can shine , Win is not a certainty.

MACHIAVELLIANISM – based on its last run and the preference of the stable jockey , looks negative though it did reasonably well in Mumbai.

MATHS BABY – 2 wins and  2 Second place in 5 outings. Last outing was definitely promising but a look at the 4 results referred shows that the race has always had entries from inter connected stables .

MONTPELIER – not here

PLENIPOTENT – last run was definitely good , a lot of effort went in there , I am not sure if it can do well at short notice

RED BARON – also ran

SHIVALIK HERO – Won comfortably despite being badly placed in its previous outing which was the First run after being Gelded. Has a fair chance , rest depends on the quality of the ride.

SILVER BIRCH – Won a 20 – 45 class IV race in Bnagalore. Rating has gone upto 72. If it indeed was a classic hopeful the trainer would have found a better jockey.

SOUTHERN OPINION – place hopeful.

STELLAR AMBITION – also ran.

SUPER STORM – on sheer merit a very good chance , not sure why the family retainer jockeys have not been entrusted to the task of guiding its fortunes. The 4 th place in the previous run should be considered in the light of the weight conceded to the others in the fray. Horse relishes longer distance as was noticed in the sibling which is running at hyderabad. If this jockey rides well , there is the chance of Upset.

WREKIN - last run was eyecatching @ top handicap. One of those longer priced horses which may place due to the luck of the race.

Other than Hachiko , options are Super Strom , Shivalik Hero and Maths Baby .

7.Sunday Storm , Arts , Show Time.

Last run i had fancied Optimus Prime , but a tardy start and lack of effort ensured that the horse  did not finish in the frame , though it was the fastest moving Horse at the finish.

Sunday Storm is a known front runner , recent tracks are quite good. If the others are found lacking in judging the pace , can repeat its WIN.

Show Time - impressive Winner in last outing , meeting quality field here. Should ideally place.

Arts is capable of placing at longer odds.

8. Grand Success , Jaldi , Tiberius

Tiberius is running over the ideal trip unlike the last run where it was sacrificed for obvious reasons. The odds will be miserly , the rest of the runners may give way to enable the breeder to make a Winning appearance as it happened yesterday.

Blue Star and No Doubt last run was not good to consider even a place bet here.

One can only hope that One of the 2 listed horses will be taken to the front and place by default. 

9.War Artist , Chantilly Jewel , Yamaguchi.

Class VB race , avoidable .

Saturday - bangalore races

Hi all  ,

Short listed horses and choices for the day are -

1.Bold Nature , Reformer , Sumitomo.

First timers cant be backed with confidence to Win despite good pedigree and tracks. Hence Sumitono is ignored.

Bold Nature is active in tracks and with the earlier effort in race 40 has sound credentials to WIN.

Reformer was not given the best of rides by Jockey  K.P.G.Appu in race 56 over 1400. Well bred can hope to place , due to lack of superior  horses in the fray  , 1.4.6 are not expected to place.

Mulligan – only reason for consideration is the track conditions which may suit this off spring of BOP.

Summers Breeze – recent tracks are decent , not very convinced on the pedigree aspect.

If Bold Nature odds are decent - worth taking a chance

else

opt for Reformer place.

2.Frame Partner , Independence day.

Monreale won impressively as she likes in race 53 , was getting weight from the rest of the fancied runners. The fast clip ensured a easy WIN as the others could not match strides. Can the jockey adopt the same tactics carrying this weight ??

Frame Partner – Trainer rarely tracks his horses exceptions are made when a gamble is due and for class I horses . Frame Partner has been worked recently and with the poor performance of the other in the fray  can UPSET.

Independence day – fizzed out in race 53 , the reversal in scales may help it to some extent.

Monreale will be at un bettable ODDS , nothing wrong with a Lay bet , below 60/100 or Frame Partner PLACE  

3.Zermatt , Caress, Our Love.

With horses 1.2.3.6.9 having no recent form , options are limited.

Youngsters demoted and trying luck in handicap race. How many of them are capable of carrying weight is the ??

Wandering Ways has performed miserably till date and hence does not qualify for a Bet even if the field is very poor.

Zermatt – this run is coming a bit too soon for comfort but having done reasonably well is in with a chance.

Caress – no visible tracks , only positive development is equipment and jockey change.

Zermatt Win or Caress Place .

4.Thunder Bay , Many Wishes , Green Bay.

Thunder Bay when ridden by S.Asgar finished a good second to Vijayes Best after leading till the last 100 metres. The rest of the field were 2 classes inferior .There is better saddle support here but the competition is also stiff.

Green Bay – Meeting many quality sprinters , cant be ignored due to the presence of A.Sandesh as he is known to hit the front in most races.

Impressive Bolt – not in this set.

Haute Ecole – fantastically bred , a good 2 nd on debut in Winter. Coming after a long break , recent  tracks are good , may need more distance to deliver.

Many Wishes – came with belated bid in race 13 to Sumela.Can do well , jockey willing.

As Thunder Bay does not represent value for Money , I would opt for Green Bay place.

5.Ridge Way , String Along , Smashing.

Cardinal – going by race 68 , i guess there is not much of a hope.

Swiss Don – did Win the Stayers Cup, that was against some woefully out of form horses and a small field with the advantage of weights. Hence not here.

Toroloco – no complaints on the horse , the Jockey’s efforts have been pretty mediocre this season for what ever reasons. The top weight is not going to help matters.

Smashing – Impressive Winner in race 68 on 10 th june. Attempting to pocket easy million within a span of 2 weeks ??

Hills and Stars – a change in tracks / trainer / jockey ?? can it help. On last known form , not possible.

Southern Bay – a listless performance over a mile , finished a dismal 10^th. Redemption looks difficult in short span of time as horse is under prepared and jockey selection is poor.

Unleashed – a fair 6 th to Smashing , extended distance will be in favour , cant be ignored for minor  places or pool bets.

String Along – had beaten Beckett last year , horse is not usually tracked and hence there is always the ?? on fitness aspect.Can hope to place.

Camorra – horse with maximum track work but with least hopes due to obvious reasons.

RidgeWay – a known bleeder , the run in race 25 was very impressive. The advantage in scales and the shift in jockey can do the trick here.

6.Anacostia , Nessie , Hill Figer.

Horses 2.5.6.7.8.10 are there for the numbers leaving us with 4 contenders.

Hill Figer is tracked regularly and looks to be the choice of the Trainer. The conditions may be helpful but can it enable a WIN ?? In my opinion it may just about manage to place , worth a negative bet below EVENS

Anacostia – speedy , met the far superior Show Time in the previous outing.If the jockey is able to hit the front from the start , a fair chance to WIN.

Nessie – another horse which is seldom seen in tracks , should easily place.

Absolute Grey – was seen struggling in class 4 , managed to WIN class III purely due to handicap. Meeting genuine sprinters here.

7.Lad Star , Ashwa Shakti , Living Legend.

A look at the horses which finished ahead of Lad Star establishes its sound credentials.Not tracked for past 20 days which is a matter of concern. Ideally would need 1400 to deliver.

Ashwashakti – long absence from tracks . Should be the horse to Beat based on its impressive past performances. How many are ready to bet below EVENS ?? for the first run on these tracks.

Dancing Emeralds – needs a strong rider which is lacking here.

Forthcoming – won by default as a few fancied horses were withdrawn in race 58. May not even fetch place dividend here if all 12 horses participate.

 

Lads Star – Win the default option.

8.Ice Stone , Endurance , All Clear.

Formula 1 was a delight to the bookies in race 29.Will be a punters nightmare here over extended distance and top handicap.

Ice Stone – dragged the rider from an hopeless position in race 48 to finish a impressive 3 rd. With the trainer insisting on Selvaraj , the inference is Horse is very well equipped to WIN despite his lack of efforts.

Fantastic Star – withdrawn in race 88 last week. Why not C.Rajendra , does he have a flight to catch by race time ??

All Clear – demoted and finished a good 2 nd in class VB. Can last the distance. May place.

Endurance – small possibility of replicating what Ice Stone does to the jockey , dragging him to the post.

Ice Stone – any bet on Selvaraj is a risk , keeping the odds factor , punters can take a chance. Due to lack of confidence on Formula One and Fantastic Star,

Fryday - Mysore races

My picks for the day are -

1. Bahman

Oblique is a demotee , has seen better days the top weight and the fact that it is a bookie's horses does not instill confidence to bet.


Leather Queen is in form having picked a race recently when not fancied. Should logically place , Win  looks doubtful.


Artisan - was tried with a few junk jockeys earlier with an eye on the odds. Failed due to atrocious riding by the concerned jockeys. Is in with a chance , rest depends on the ODDS. Below 3 to 1 not even worth thinking aloud.


Bahman - well in at the weights , recent track works are quite decent. Worth considering a each way bet.


2. Noughts and Crosses - chance e /w bet.


Aerial Acrobat is speedy and the handicap quite attractive. Last 5 runs have been horrible despite meeting inferior field.  In the past , M.A.Milan had literally stopped the horse in the last furlong when it was coasting to a easy Win.  That Race was declared null and void.  In the next outing , started as favourite and did not finish in the top 3. That is the standard set by the trainer. May try to prove a point now with improved performance due to the presence of a good apprentice.


Speck in the Sky - cant be backed for WIN as previous run was very poor. May place.


Noughts and Cross - was not far off from the Winner in last engagement.Rider may have won 2 races in the last 2 years , cant bet confidently.


Pretty Yashywashwini is known for its early speed , meeting younger horses. May at best place.


Man Down Under - came with belated bid to finish 4 th in its first appearance this season. On expected lines , not sighted in next run. Equipment and Jockey changed.

3. Sequena.

With horses 1 - 2 - 4 and 5 having no realistic chance of doing well the other 4 horses come into contention


Missizippy - Punters are surprised to see champion rider of Bangalore Trevor Patel struggling to WIN in notorious centre like Mysore.  Its more to do with the stable he is riding for than his skills.
In any case the Horse may start as favorite and not  worth considering.


Sequena - over 1400 looks a bit tough  , but considering the  quality of horses and jockeys in the fray , one has to opt for it , not much is known of Bhanu Pratap Singh from the capital city.

4. Sky Fleet

Sky Fleet - 4 th to Miss Ruby earlier this season. The comparative handicap points towards Sky Fleet.


Miss Ruby - running too often  for comfort ??


Real Magic -  a bv case , was lucky to have WON in previous outing.With Lake Emerald , Bullish Luck and Express It being non jobbers a fair chance due to lack of competition not on MERIT.


Top rated 96 , lowest rated 60 , that explains the chances of Caterina who just about managed to beat a few class IV horses recently. Is it really a class II horse ??

5. Heavenly Divas - each way

The feature event , just 6 participants  out of which 3 have no chance to WIN based on previous known form and record.


Brave Assault - with the benefit of the good 3 rd to Miyar's Princess ,  a realistic chance. Quality of field was mediocre , as evident by the odds on MP.


Heavenly Divas - well bred , both its runs have been impressive. Rest depends on race time odds and intent of the trainer.


Mischief - came up with belated bid in race 29 over 1100. Over extended distance , can place.

6.Omega Man - WIN

 Star of Hearts - impressive 2 nd over 1400 .  On merit has the best chance , but ignored as it is conceding 6 kgs to OM which is crucial , the other reason being its poor record whenever fancied for WIN,


Omega Man - poor judgement led to its loss in race 23. Is capable of making amends here.

7.Kapathos - all pools

Best Move is in good form , choice of rider is not positive as the weights will affect its chances.Chances of Enforcer looks better if the previous run is seen.


Wynn - was a remarkable performer in the previous season. Struggled in its previous run. Rider has WON 1 race in career. May place.


Kapathos - last 2 runs were absolutely poor.  Only reason to consider is the jockey and the hope that it may do well against this vastly inferior field compared to previous runs.


Prezzie - rider is a front for some well known bookies . If the horse is in the odds one can be certain that his best efforts wont be visible.
