Day 1 was not kind for those who back fancied runners expecting Free Money.
Results Were on expected lines - partly due to the track conditions. If all favorites win bookies would have closed shop long long ago. The free money is available only to the trainers and jockeys .
1. Royal Deccan - Idi Minnal -
16 runners. Slight preference to BLR based horses.
2. Moon Oracle - Maana
Older horses / mys based have no credentials to win.
3. Ravishing Queen - Your Sri Shakti.
Low grade race with maximum runners. BLR based younger horses with higher rating are opted .
4. MoneyBags - Gachchhatu
Frederika is rated 58 competing with horses rated above 100. So logically tough. Star Glory is aged and can do well against modest opposition. African Gold has failed maximum number of times after initial success.
5. Emphatic - Czar.
Excellent Lass also has a fair chance but rider record is not very good.
Local entries are ignored.
6. Non Pariel - Prides Prince
Horses 6 &7 are expected to do well and will be fancied. This being 2 payout race ,both finishing 1-2 looks doubtful. One of the shortlisted Choices could finish in top 2.
Alfonshine does not appeal
7. Zuccaro - Sovereign King.
Race is best watched. Not that others can't finish in top 2 , Over 2400 trip , considering current form , limited options
8. Ice of Fire - Tolkien
