Hyd sunday races

 

 

 

Tricky card - almost all races has element of uncertainty -  tough to estimate even the odds - hence proceed with caution

 

 

1. Golden Aura - Quality Warrior

this is a junk race - almost all horses have finished on an average 15 lenghts behind winner - a few 25 lenghts plus. Many in fray unplaced since making debut. Probably raced with superior horses but all are sailing in same boat - Coupled with the quality of Jockeys declared to ride - below average. Best to skip - or opt for ONLY Place that too if odds are reasonable.

 

 

2. Take A Breath - Sunny Day

almost similar to race 1. This being in class 4 with a few horses doing well on random basis. 

 

 

3. Star of Night - Uchchaihshravas

2-4-5 are the contenders. 

Undoubtedly Star of Night is the best in fray. Last 5 outings it has raced with classy horses , while others have come up in ratings doing well in handicap races. Only issue is drop in trip. Has been racing over longer trips - past 6 outings-Average 2400. If good odds offered worth wagering.  If not can skip WIN bets and opt for place on any of these 2

I misjudges odds expecting Star of Night to open as Fav. Perception is at short odds. Not worth wagering.

 

 

4. Pride Aside - Pristine Glory

Pledge carries penalty for previous victory  in same class. On relative handicap One Nation looks better. But often this logic does not work. 

Pristine Glory has raced with superior horses in Mumbai , hence could not win many races. First outing in Hyd , lost as short priced favorite. With benefit of a run can fare better considering the handicap

Home Run is a Good horse but yet to race beyond 1400. It can place if it is slow run race where stamina is not tested

Pride Aside is not the best in fray but has often raced over longer trips. Entrusted to allowance rider , low weights will definitely help to fetch a place in top 3

 

5. 

 Star of Opera / Ayushman - Trainer Netto has dual entries . SOA had won 4 of 5 starts the only loss to Fourth Wing . Compared to previous wins , faces tough bunch here. Can win but if odds are low , why take risk. Ayushman is also a good horse, consistently filling the frame

Walking Thunder - has been mighty inconsistent - past 2 outings riders were not the best. With strong riding from Trevor capable of finishing in top 2.

High Speed Drive is older horse but has excelled win record. Can it perform against youngsters is a ??

State Man has relatively raced against inferior opposition. At low handicap can Place with a bit of luck

 

6. Dubai Touch - Diligence

Race won by Foxt Girl was extremely well handicapped as the first 10 horses finished in close order. Luck of the race did affect the chances of many in fray.

Going by that race , these 2 have some credentials to do well , may finish ahead of Foxy Girl. Even Turiya can do well under the circumstances 

See the Light had finished 2 nd to Star of Opera earlier in the season. Next run was very poor. If Trevor was engaged - one could have considered for WIN.

 Divine Tiger lower class Winner. Past 3 outings were over 1400-1600. This looks sharp

 

 

7. Moonveil won the Mile classic - the margin of victory was very close. Had finished 4 th to D'artagnan in blr derby where Vortex was behind. Beat Madante & Vortex in Hyd. Those two are also in fray here and judgement of riders decide outcome. Tough to decide , when in doubt skip. Vortex has place claims atleast.

Mohagamy has won both starts impressively although the field was  very ordinary. But that can't be held against it - pedigree / tracks are good and comes from top stables - 

Alexious has raced with high quality opposition in western india including D'artagnan - Lady Scarlet.  Trip is not an issue and record of Anthony Raj is good in classics. 

 Classy Touch can stay the trip. Inexperienced relatively but local trainer / top rider.

 

 basically almost all races  , winner picking is hazardous - may look easy after the results if the fancied runner Wins.  Shortlisted horses can be considered for each way or PLACE bets only - If shortlisted is short priced favorite IGNORE

 

 8. Excalibur - Don't Block My Way

 

 

Good luck - you may need a lot to pick winners. Previous race day was not kind to followers of favorites
