day 3 - Pune races

These are my choices for the day ;

1.Royal Hunter , Alohomara , My Pet Honey.

Vb race .First named showed some promise in its mumbai runs. Can make it a Start to Finish affair.

Alohomara , from lagad stable , Pune is the preferred Destination. Mumbai runs were definitely DUBIOUS.

My pet honey , winner last year at this centre .Can place.


2.Forever Amber or Western Challenge.

Both have failed repeatedly , One of them is expected to WIN here to end the drought.

Rage of Angels looks difficult at this handicap and Thanda has done well only when carrying low weight.

Lighting Cavalry and The Giant do not impress.



3.Wild Torronaado , Secret Admirer , Kiss Away .

Secret Admirer has seen better horses .Can WIN but not my idea of a GOOD bet as the distance may be short for comfort.

Kiss Away has seen change in stables , not tracked , but speedy.Can place.

Wild Torronaado is MORAL for place.Its pet distance is 1000 and performed only at PUNE. Has the added benefit of a race run and is well placed on the scales.


4.One amongst these Three HORSES will WIN the race -

Admirals Quest , Confisere and Divine Majesty.

If anyone of them fails to grace the board then SCHOLAR can place.

First named had finished 5 th to Versaki but did not participate since 1 st march . That is a reason to hesitate on a WIN BET.

Confiserie came up well to finish a good third on debut to Aristocratic. Can improve.

Divine Majesty may be ignored due to the choice of Jockey and the Stable , but has the ability to UPSET.

Scholar , has been tracking well and may be tipped by many , my bet will be only after seeing its debut.


5.Daffodila , Rattle , Kapathos.

bad race.


6.Beau Monde , Born to Lead , Spitz.

Star Impact may find it difficult here as the Mumbai track was more suited to its manner of running.

Beau Monde , Thrice Winner here in 2008 , ZERO at Mumbai . Back to base. Should do well going by Trainers Logic.If not here will pick up at least 2 races this season.

Spitz - Lower class winner. Placing Bets on Jockey merit is risky as horse may need a RUN before Winning at the RIGHT odds.

Born to Lead - at a tidy handicap.Keep an eye.


Horses not sighted in tracks / swimming have been IGNORED.



7.Shodaan , Aristocratical , Musical Rhythm.

White Hart Lane may fund the Bookies for the day.

4 Siph salar - As per Bangalore run should be the winner but I don’t think Rupesh can do it

6 Honorbound Runs with an upsetting chance

7 Meritorius May be the winner of this race as Imran draw a blank on 1^st day

9. Vintage dance can place if tried

2^nd race

1. Beyond the best May place on jockey merit

5 Vijayasarathi Runs with a good chance

6. Colette can place at longer odds

9 100flowers can win this race

3^rd race

1. Fantastic Boy - Excellent chance for win but jockey is a ?

3 Amontillado A front running type if tried same tactics will place

4. The Scot Should be the winner if F Boy fails

8. Kohinoor magic winner regular in tracks should place easily

10 Romantic flyer place at longer odds

4^th race

2. Grand rapids Bangalore campaigner but I don’t think he can win, place chance only

4. Lone ranger Should win this race

7. Nandanvana can place at longer odds

10 Secret asset Definitely on board can play for SHP & Place

5^th race

3 Vendetta Place chance only

8 Suchiman Will be in the first two can fight with Above the line

9 Palace affairs may need this run

11 Zycon Place chance only

14 Above the line As per track work should be the winner of this race

6^th race

3 Grey shot place chance

5 Ruby rouge can be the first winner for John at Hyderabad

12 Just be cool place at longer odds

13 Stormy gladiator can spoil johns party and upset him

15. Russian mission longer odds place chance

7^th race

3. Scubario can win but Harish has tough fight in aphrodisiac

6 Aphrodisiac Has a tough fight on hand from Scubario

8. Chestnut charmer can spoil the party of both No.3 & 6

13 Alborado place at longer odds

8^th race

1 Coral Gables My favourite horse definitely worth a win bet

3 champ forever last time beaten CG may try to turn the plate

8 Orochi If tried the front running tactics can spoil CG

9 Dorabella will it be a doubling for john ??

10. Crocodile Hunter longer odds place chance only

9^th race

1. Ravileena Runs with a decent chance

2. Dating On excellent form has got a chance

4. Pharlap On recent trackwork can be a blanker

10 Baywatchbabe speedy can upset

11 Coolspice can place at longer odds

13 English Indian last run was impressive but with Uday Kiran at saddle ???
