Hyderabad Monsoon Meeting 2009

First day of the racing season and it makes sense to go slow and bet Small as fitness and merit cant be ascertained based on track work and prior record.


1.Party Doll should place.

Pythagoras will start as favorite , with Mumbai import Rupesh .He may need some time to get used to the tricky hyderabad track. Can Win but not worth a BET.


2.Mayfair Girl is tracking well and should place.

Smrithiman has been an expensive failure till date. Can do well in this inferior set.

Atahualpa has a mediocre jockey.Can be ignored.

Currency Shift is speedy can Upset.


3.Easy Flash will place.

Al Jeezan is carrying top weight , but been consistent performer.Good each way.

Paymaster - choice of Jockey is a ???

Victorous Sally - has the benefit of good draw. Can place.



4.Glaring Godzilla , John Galt , Cefiro.

Too many contenders.The above are based on recent track and suitability of distance .


5.Vijaylakh , Many Thanks , Cygnet.

Bad race.

Golden Flame is a long distance horse and hence not considered here.



6.Cannon Scot , Star Spellbound , Red River Rebel.


Initial speed will decide the outcome with 16 runners , it is not possible to go by merit of the horse as many of them would be hampered by the front runners.


7.Hospitality , Narwal , Jugnu.


8.Spy mate ( based on Jockey merit , yet to be declared )

Dancing Touch , Vinaleo , Lancashire.


9.Blazing Bounty , Southern Spice , Girl of Love.

1^st race

3. Pythagoras - Regular in track can place

4. Auburn star - may place for the rider

6. Democracy - genuine upset type

7. Emerald Bay - Good chance as the rider always tries start to finish

10. The B Angel - Jockey was not in great form last season

2^nd race

1. Atahualpa - Coming back from Bangalore can place easily

2. Currency chest - has the advantage of a good rider

3. Pavarotti - No track work but capable for upset for the owner

7. Designer - Excellent track work may place

9. Mayfair girl - On track with an excellent chance for win

10. Smrithiman - Jockey is good can place

3^rd race

1. Al jeezan - track work is good can place

2. Gallant prince - Based on previous Bangalore run can be a blanker for win

4. Paymaster - can place for jockey preference

5. Pure magic - with champion jockey in saddle can upset gallant prince

8. Easy flash - may place

10. Onera Onera - no trackwork but at this weight threat for all

4^th race

2. Cefiro - only place chance

3. Come together - has a great chance but I don’t prefer it as it is a Memorial cup

4. Red fairy - Excellent track but jockey is a ???

7. Iaepetus - Best horse in the field but S. Abbas opting for Sequria is a ?

13. Clever Ploy - May be the winner of this race as per the track work

5^th race

2. Golden flame - Regular in track but I don’t think PS chouhan can win

4. Cygnet - The dark horse in this field

6. Vijay Lakh - Regular in track and got a very good jockey to ride – chance is there

10. Fair touch - place chance for jockey preference

12. Recast - Strikes when least expected

13. Jay Jay - My preference as winner of this race as Abhinay rides well at bottom wt.

6^th race

3. Walk in the park - Trainer & Jockey has a very good winning combination

4. Al jouf - Speedy and can win in start to finish

8. Standing ovation - May place at longer odds

10. Red River Rebel - Trainer got two entries may place at longer odds

14. Adorna - Other one from Anupam sharma

16. Costamesa - Only threat to Al jouf will be in the first two

7^th race

3. Toledo - Winning combination of jockey, trainer & owner, a definite chance

7. Hospitality - last time winner may try again

8. Fusion music - No recent track but can upset

9. Arsham - Jockey known for start to finish tactics may place

10. Jugnu - Speedy and genuine upset horse

13. Narwhal - Regular in track can place at longer odds

8^th race

2. Arrow of light - May need little more distance

4. Lancashire - can place

6. Dancing touch - Another blanker for win as per track work & jockey

12. Al jadeed - Speedy horse from friendly stable for DT. May place

13. One in all - Definitely give stiff fight to D Touch

15. Power Play- A longer odds place for owner trainer combination

9^th race

4. Colourful - Decent chance for a win as per trackwork

5. Girl of love - May need a little more distance

7. Hariharpriya- Upset chance

8. Heydan - Only got place chance

9. Embatttled - Speedy for longer odds place

13. Essence - End of the day surprise
